The Derelik Sector
The year is 2274 and for the last eight decades humanity has spread throughout the systems of the Milky way. Under the guidance of the Commonwealth of Sol they have entered a golden age of culture and science that has surpassed any that has been since the Age of Reason, and in this time of expansion a small sector on the edge of Commonwealth space is the site of its latest colony.
Its been 30 years since your parents landed on the soil of the planet Magnalis to found the capitol of the Derelik sector. The rapid expansion that followed is starting to slow as the focus of the sector changes from one of colonization and the import of goods and population. You are part of the first generation to be born in or around the city of Maanen's Landings, the largest centre of population in the system and the seat of government for the sector.
