Ulfrost has been called many things over its two century dominance of the White Sea. The Stone Iceberg, the Viking's Fang. Every tribe and city has their own name for the fortress on the waves, each a relic of a time when the longboats of Ulfrost terrorized the icy waters of the North.
That time has passed, fading along with the legendary viking raiders of old. Ulfrost now stands as a centre of learning, trade, and politic, the influential cultural hub of the North. Built atop a lonely rock in the White Sea, it is isolated and barricaded against the outside. Once, this made it an impenetrable fortress, but now its isolation has made it one of the few neutral places in the world.
There is a grimness in the air as the 933'd year dawns. Those learned or experienced in such matters know that the current peace cannot last. The only question is what will break it.
