Game Description

In the dark alleys and gutters of the sixth world, there is a dream, the dream of that big fat score. Those that do not dream it have no dreams at all, the bitter rain has this knack for washing away all hope. But for the rest of the trash, those who cling to a sense of optimism, the dream is still there. Even though all know that such can only come through luck, and most again are very much aware of the fact that there is no luck to be found, only plenty of bad luck to find you.

And yet. There are those who stand out from the rest of the nameless masses of the streets, those who get the sort of Nuyen for just a night's work by being in places they never were, doing things they never did, for people that never hired them and never paid them. Deniable Assets, Shadowrunners. Perhaps there is hope if you manage to get good enough. Perhaps. At least runners can have hope. The hope that, ultimately, by working up a reputation, by being good enough and most importantly, staying alive for long enough. They get on the shortlist for that one time when something really big that should not be done needs to be done. That one "do or die" mission, when all the chips are pushed in. Fail and face the finality of death. Succeed and you are set for life, whatever might be left of it..

The Premise

Shadowrun 4A, look inside for details.

The characters will be an established and experienced team that have specialized in datasteals, with a knack for getting into places they aren't supposed to get into, taking copies of things they aren't supposed to take copies of, and then getting out again without being noticed. As far as playstyle go, I tend to steer in the direction of mirrorshades, though I believe in the ability of the characters to come up with a good plan and make contingencies in case of unforeseen things, even if the players haven't written it all out in a post somewhere. I'd like to try and keep the IC focused on interaction between characters (that be PC-PC dialogue, Johnson meets etc) and the "live" part of the missions. Though I am of the opinion that in my world, runners either learn how to properly plan or you die, and that element will exist in the world I just doesn't see the need to have them laid out in detail either IC or OOC, we can assume that the plans has plenty details and just wing it.
