Urban Shadows: The Streets Have Many Names
It's 1995 in New York City. The city's been in an economic boom for over a decade, but the greed and excesses have infiltrated all strata of an already bursting city, and the streets of New York have a been a crime-ridden cesspool for far too long. Desperate for a turnaround, the people put the 'prosecutor who tamed organized crime' during the '80s in charge of the city on a law and order ticket. It's Rudy Giuliani's second year as Mayor and he's already seeing results. Or so he claims. There might be a bigger police presence on the streets, but those streets are still wild and not yet tamed.
Not everyone sees Giuliani's vision for the future. Not everyone's ready to let go of what they have.
You owe some of them, big time. That puts you right in the middle.

Urban Shadows is a Powered by the Apocalypse game focused on urban fantasy, telling tales like those of the World of Darkness, Dresden Files, or Lost Girls. Players play characters of the Mortality, Night, Power, and Wild factions embroiled in webs of ambition, debt, and corruption. More can be read about it on its Kickstarter page.
The first supplement for Urban Shadows, Dark Streets, is due to be released in 2-3 months and will feature a city guide for NYC. This game is intended to run for 2-3 months to whet our appetites until that release, and is set in the New York of twenty years ago to lay setting groundwork for a modern-era game once the supplement is available. The activities of the characters in this game will reverberate through the decades, setting up and tearing down NPCs, power factions, and the shape and course of the city.
