Game Description

Long ago the gods walked the material plane and lived with their mortal creations. The gods taught their creations the use of magic, how to forge metal for swords and Axes, and how to serve the gods but there was one among the Gods who wished to teach mortals more, he wanted to show them that one day they could surpass the limitations of mortality and become divine themselves but the other gods did not want this. That god was Marius who believed that mortals should be allowed to do more than simply exist to serve the gods and as a result created the Stone of Ascension. A magic gemstone that Marius placed a portion of his own divine essence and power he drew from the outer planes. He hid the gemstone on the Material plane out of reach of the other gods and in hopes, a mortal or group of mortals would prove worthy of the power he left them.

When the other gods learned what Marius did he was cast out from among his fellow gods and his divinity stripped from him. Marius' fate is unknown but to this day the Stone of Ascension still rests deep in its original hiding place waiting to be discovered.

Untold ages have passed since the gods walked among men and yet the legend of the stone of Ascension still persists to this day.

In the land Andritha the legend of the stone has reached the ears of the Necromancer and warlord Ezekiel Tharn. Tharn has sent his most powerful servants out in search of the Stone of Ascension. Fearing what would happen should the Necromancer acquire the stone the Rulers of the five nation states of Andritha have put out a call for anyone willing to seek the stone and retrieve it before Tharn can.

By the hundreds Adventurers, treasure hunters, fortune seekers, mercenaries, and anyone else drawn by divinity have come to Escelion the official capital of five nation states that comprise Andritha. While this is not the first time the quest for the stone has reached this level it is the first time that the fate of the world has hung in the balance or so it is believed.
