This game is a learning project for the DM, running a group of friends with varying levels of experience through the Lost Mine of Phandelver module. The goal is for the DM to learn the system, the players to have a unique experience where they can give the DM constant feedback and discuss how to best run a game, and most of all, to have fun!
"The Triboar Trail" is a reference to the DM's design philosophy. It's easy to focus on macro game development, getting carried away with the overarching plot, setting up future modules and planning for things many years down the line. Instead, the DM will focus on learning one step at a time, beginning with the PCs first meeting on the Triboar Trail. Rather than plan an epic adventure, first we'll conquer one encounter. Then one dungeon. Then one quest. And so on, and so forth.
