I started thinking about my homebrew world about three years ago in an effort to accommodate for individual stories exploring the characters' thoughts and past. Dien'Saron is a place of nuanced views, complex characters and shades of grey. Rebels fighting for freedom are just as often seen as terrorists threatening the established peace. Criticizing one's decision is easy when you get to see the outcome, but how will you act when you lack that knowledge, time and resources?
