Game Description
Hathor
Races found within the lands of Hathor: Dragonborn, Dwarf, Eladrin, Half-Elf, and Human.
The lands of Hathor are loosely underneath the control of King Gregory. The most of the land is controlled by human Barron and Lords who swear fidelity to King Gregory, but have much more control within their local lands than the King does. However, they would not openly defy him. The Dwarfs do not openly swear fidelity to King Gregory, but they respect his rule over the lands outside of the mountains and King Gregory respects their sovereignty within the mountains. The Dragonborn have sworn fidelity to the King, however no King has ever tried to enforce any law within the Dragonborns homes, leaving them free to rule themselves.
Qualitas
Races found within the lands of Qualitas: Dwarf, Eladrin, Elves, Half-Elf, and Goliath.
An Elven Council of Elders rules over the lands of Qualitas. The Elven Council of Elders does not impose itself upon the other races within Qualtas, as they have come to leave peacefully with the other faces that share a similar view on living in harmony with nature. Because of this, the Dwarfs and Goliaths in Qualitas have almost full sovereignty.
The races of Qualitas have strong views about living in harmony with nature that is in contrasts with the races of Hathor who tent to bend the land to their will. This is the main reason that Qualitas and Hathor are not on peaceful terms. For generations they fought one another as the Humans of Hathor tried to settle on the lands of Qualtas. For the last 30 years there has been an uneasy peace between the two.
Pravus
Races found within the lands of Pravus: Dwarf, Eladrin, Half-Orc, Human, and Tiefling.
Starran is the Emperor of the Tiefling Empire of Pravus. Pravus has no retaliations with either the lands of Hathor or Qualitas and the people of both those respective lands want it that way. Pravus used to be human lands until the humans of Pravus made a pact with demonic forces and were changed into the Tiefling. Initially wars rages between Pravus and the other lands, but suffering a near crushing defeat several hundred years ago, Pravus has gone into recluse. The people of the others lands are commonly worried that one day Pravus will go on the war path again.
Dragonborn
The Dragonborn Clans were once a might empire of their own, but wars long forgotten and sacrifices still being paid for have caused their numbers in the world to dwindle. The few Dragonborn Clans that remain in the world found peace with the humans of Hathor and through the generations have become to see themselves as part of Hathor with the humans. Many of the Dragonborn serve in the military of the human kingdom when they reach adulthood; most consider it a civic duty dating back to the original peace agreement between the humans of Hathor and the Dragonborn Clans.
Dwarf
The Dwarves are a race normally apart from the rest of the races. Dwarves tend to isolate themselves in all three of the realms, choosing to stick to their caves buried deep within the earth of the world. However, the Dwarves do interact with their neighbors and are well known throughout all of the world for the quality of their goods. Because of this interaction with non-dwarves, the Dwarves from each region have slight differences.
Eladrin
The Eladrin of the world today were able to cross between this world and the one they came from, but unknown events have caused whatever rift allowed them passage between the worlds to close. The Eladrin that were originally trapped were spread across the three lands and their descendents today can still be found any of the three lands. However, The Eladrin are a Fey race and are most commonly drawn to the lands of Qualitas. Throughout the years, many of the Eladrin have been influenced by the other races in the places where they made their homes and have more loyalty to their new lands than their fellow Eladrin of other lands.
Elf
The Elves are the largest race found in Qualitas and are the primary rulers of the land. The Elves of Qualitas have a close connection to nature and a strong belief of living in harmony with their natural soundings. This is in stark contrast to the humans of Haltor that build, mold, and change the land to suit their own needs. Because of this Elves are almost never found in the lands of Hathor or Pravus, as they have a shaky relationship with humans at best.
The Elven Empire does not follow the law of one Elf, but rather finds their leadership from the wisdom of a Council of Elders.
Half-Elf
While there is a long and deep fracture between the Elven and the Human populations, there are occasionally a few that see past their jaded past. There are small traveling tribes of Humans and Elves that have mixed their bloodlines called Tinkerers that freely travel the lands between Qualitas and Hathor. While some carry their distaste of the other race against the Half-Elves, most do not. With free travel between the lands, the Tinkerers have long taken up the merchant professions and are the main way that Humans and Elves can get wares from one another.
Within the Tinkerer caravans, the Half-Elves have a lose hierarchy of leadership. The leader of each caravan is usually a man or woman who is determined to be the eldest and wisest of the group.
Human
The Humans of the world are found primarily in the lands of Hathor. However, there are a few to be found living in the lands of Pravus and are almost never found living in the lands of Qualitas. The Humans of Hathor are numerous and by far the most common race of the land; as an Elf would say, “They bread like rabbits”. Their opposing views on the relationship between themselves and the world around them have led them to be at odds with the Elves.
The Human lands of Hathor are a Feudal Monarchy, with many Lords claiming lands and all giving fidelity to King Gregory the Fourth.
Tiefling
The Tieflings of Pravus are what both the Humans of Hathor and the Elves of Qualitas would call an Evil Race. Like the Humans and the Elves, the Tiefligns are the rulers of their lands. Unlike the Humans and the Elves, the Tiefling are not the most common race in their lands. The Tieflign numbers are small, and they hold themselves above the other races in Pravus as a ruling class. However, due to their low numbers, many of the other race shave risen to higher status.
Much like their human Ancestors, the Tiefling have a single ruler. Though, this ruler is not passed down through birth. Those that want to succeed as the new Emperor for the Tiefling of Pravus enter into the sacred caves and the single Tiefling to return is the new Emperor.
Goliath
The Goliaths are a nomadic and primitive people, by Human and Elven standards, that live within the lands of Qualitas. While normally a peaceful people, Goliaths have come to the aid of the Elves when called upon. Because of their history of aiding the Elves in their fights with Humans and Tieflings, they are quick to defend their lands against those that they believe are out to cause harm to them (Anyone not a Goliath, Elf, Half-Elf, Dwarf, or Eladrin)
Half-Orc
The Half-Orcs are only found within the lands of Pravus. The Half-Orcs are a bastard race formed long ago to serve the Teiflings of Pravus. The Teifling Empire needed soldiers for their armies, as their numbers were low and there were few humans left after the transition. The Orcs that wander the world are fierce creatures, creature that would not easily submit to Teifling rule. So, using magic they combined many of the remaining humans in the lands of Pravus with some of the Orc tribes to form their new soldiers.
While originally created as mere slave and soldiers, that is not their role anymore. While Half-Orcs do make up a large portion of the soldiers for Pravus, Half-Orcs have formed their own socities and fill many other roles and often see themselves as equals with the Teiflings.
