Bridge Nine - A cosmere RPG one-shot
The Stormlight Archive is the story of Roshar, a world of storms and war. It is a story of growth, of passion, of honor. And today, it is a story that you will tell. You are not yet heroes. You currently live in a warcamp at the edge of the Shattered Plains, a vast expanse of chasms and plateaus. Today, you’re traveling with soldiers and scholars loyal to an Alethi noble named Highprince Sadeas. That is where our story begins. A few days ago, a highstorm uncovered ruins dating back to the Silver Kingdoms. Now, you’re part of an expedition sent across the barren stone to investigate what’s left of those ruins.
The cosmere RPG has been released! It comes with a short one-shot called Bridge Nine designed to ease people into the system! I am just starting to learn the material and system and am looking for interest here. There is some information on the system hosted on their website (https://www.cosmererpg.com/downloads). It includes some basic rules and pre-generated characters.
Character Creation
My preference for character creation is to use the pre-generated characters mechanically, but creating a unique backstory and appearance for them. I am open to those who own the books creating their own characters.
The backstory provided in the pre-gen's is a good indication of my expectations:
- 2-3 paragraphs for Backstory,
- 1 Purpose, 1 Obstacle and 1 Goal (similar style and length - or a mix and match selection from the pregenerated characters)
- Connections optional, but limit to 1 paragraph
Selection Date: 16th of August, selection will be based on backstory and won't strictly be limited to 1 per class.
Note: If I decide to continue onto a full campaign after, everyone will have the chance to modify elements of their character during level up to 2.
