Circus of Ambitions

GM Lord Bayushi · 3 players

-CLOSED TO NEW INTEREST- A new demigod is searching for a mortal champion to announce his greatness to the world of Golarion. To that end, he is holding a grand tournament in his demi-plane demesne, where two patrons are gathering teams of combatants. The winner will get the favor of a fledgling Deity, a powerful wish, and glory untold. Will it be you?

-CLOSED TO NEW INTEREST-

This is a campaign for 6 players, who will construct 15th level Pathfinder 1e Characters with a customized rules-set. The backdrop for this game will be a Mortal Kombat style tournament, where the competitors of two patrons will face off in one-on-one conflicts to advance their team agenda. As the teams thin, former allies will become adversaries, as, in the end, there can be only one Champion.

Beyond the tournament, there will be a plot (gasp!). This game will have mysteries, intrigue, and betrayal to contend with outside the arena that will be all the more deadly than the battles within (partially due to the fact that combatants will be resurrected following their fights in the arena, should death be the outcome). New alliances may be forged, rivalries may find their way outside the ring, and, all the while, the powers that be may have pacts to offer, or favors to be earned.

Content will follow the Myth Weavers guidelines, so there will be no overt adult themes. I don't foresee anything more vile than betrayal and violence coming up in the course of the game, but if you have any sensitivities to certain themes, let me know and I will steer things in other directions.

Posting rates will be at least twice a week, but things will pair off relatively quickly with one-on-one fights in separate threads, which I will try to keep moving along quickly. I will try to accommodate those that can post more often in the combat settings, but I may wind up being the one you are waiting on during the weekends.

Despite this game centering on one-on-one conflicts, this isn't going to be a battle of the cheesiest builds. I am looking for medium optimization, and will pick a group that have closely matched capabilities so that things are more or less fair fights between them, should PvP come up. If you are a Pathfinder super-builder that would like to post an application with an uber-mensch because you enjoy building them, feel free, but don't be surprised if you are not picked to play.
