Grotesqueries and Mysteries A Freeform Universal Game

There are things that go bump in the night. Strange things that exist in the shadows, and that look upon humanity as a food source. Perhaps all the legends and myths contain a whisper of truth. Not that most people believe that. And then, there are the seekers after truth. Those motivated to peel back the shadows and expose the grotesque faces of what is revealed to the light. You will play as one of these truthseekers.

The Game.

The Hook.

There is a gruesome murder that occurs in your city. Players will be investigating this murder in either an official capacity, meaning that they are police detectives or government agents, or non official, like a private eye or vigilante hero type. While the players can be mundane, I am open to the players having low power level abilities.

The murder scene (and numerous clues for the players to follow up) will be revealed once player selection is completed.

Time, Location and Universe.

Will be up to the selected players. I am planning that the characters will over the course of the story arc, have to move between times and locations to hunt their quarry. You can chose where to start the story, and we will build these elements together. This could be for example... a Steampunk style 1890's London. A depression era New York, a Modern city anywhere, a Futuristic space station within the solar system.

Players.

I am looking for 1-2 experienced players. No familiarity with FU is required. It is an incredibly easy rules-lite system suitable for new players. The quality of your writing will determine if you are selected. The game will incorporate the following themes and genres. Mystery, Some Horror, Supernatural themes.
