Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry - 2020
New World of Darkness 1st ed, homebrewed Harry Potter loosely based on MtAw, Hogwarts 2020. Highly character/story focused. Sandbox-ish
The year is 2020, after Minerva McGonagall decided to step down as headmistress of Hogwarts a couple years ago and go back into teaching Transfiguration, a new headmaster is appointed: Joseph Gregorio Cornwall. Cornwall is a Half-blood who was known for his fascination with muggle technology and science.
Hogwarts lives a time of peace, after 22 years of the Second Wizarding War and 10 years after the Siege of Hogwarts, the school engaged in many activities and now is, more than ever, a hub for magic research and discovery, and things seem that will stay that way. This year the first ever Interschool Quidditch World cup is taking place as an alternative to the triwizard tournament in a way to deepen the connection between schools all around the world.
About the Game:
- This will be a "light on the rules" game, it will be more focused on interpretation rather than rules;
- As usual, the narrator word is final, you may ask and argue but don't start a fight. (even though i'm not a tyrant, sometimes some things need to be settled);
- This is a cooperative effort to play a nice game for everybody (narrator and players).
- This game will be highly focused on the Interschool Quidditch World Cup, at least at the beginning. Characters are encouraged to have some connection to Quidditch, not necessarily play it, but must somehow connect to it, that being said, players are more than welcome.
- Game will start as a "slice of life" sandbox, but may become a story driven game depending on character actions and player interest, there will be many plots to uncover, from teenager drama to dark arts epic movie vibes, feel free to connect your character to as many npcs as you want, and also to create new npcs.
About Me:
- I've been playing and narrating NWoD for over 10 years now, and my favorite line of games is Vampire the Requiem, might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer it over VtM (even though I love VtM). I'm not a rules advocate and generally go by the rule of cool, and as long as what is going on is fun, I'm 100% into it!
- A friend and I created this system about 6 years ago, we've been playing it ever since, and feedback on the rules are appreciated!
Expectations:
- I'm looking for at the most 4/5 players.
- I'll be approving and choosing players on the get go, so the end of the advertisement is more of a guideline than anything else.
- I don't expect more than 1 post a week, if we can do it, cool, if not, cool too.
- Interpretation is key here, so highly interpretative posts/backgrounds are more than welcome, are encouraged.
