Lands of Merrasmu

GM Black Wyvern · 6 players

Merle M. Rasmussen (Merrasmu) wrote two modules for TSR's '83 edition of D&D; X6 Quagmire and X9 The Savage Coast. This adventure will explore the maps presented in those modules using the earlier '81 (B/X) edition.

The maps of X6 Quagmire and X9 The Savage Coast greatly expanded the World of Mystara. The Savage Coast would eventually see some love with expanded details in later products, but in 1985 they were both just horrendous modules that really went nowhere. They required a lot of work from the DM to make them worth running. This adventure is my take using only what world information was available from X1, X4, X5, X6 and X9. I do promise Merrasmu will not appear in character ever. This is an "Expert" level game using TSR's '81 edition of D&D, frequently referred to as B/X.

Posting expectations for this game are one a week. We may move a bit faster from time to time but I plan on making a DM post every Friday afternoon.

10 years ago the Sind Desert marked the edge of the Known World. The Hule War greatly expanded the world and started the Thyatin sphere of influence looking outward. The death of the Master of Hule and the negotiated truce that followed open these new lands for trade and possible settlement. These events also brought heroes and treasure seekers into the wilds to prove their metal and find their fortunes. This brings us to you...
