At last the stars are almost right. Soon Nyarlathotep's plans will come to fruition. Then the world will be changed irrevocably - but not quite yet. Pesky human investigators have learned much. Now they must survive long enough to make sense of what they know, and take resolute action.

A dire plan has been enacted which, if allowed to come to fruition, threatens to destroy humanity as we know it. But all is not lost. If a few brave souls can uncover and piece together certain information, they might prevent the unspeakable from happening.

Facing dark cults, strange lore, hideous monsters and a range of implacable foes, the investigators embark on a journey of discovery to face the ultimate horror.

Looking for 4-5 players for the updated 7e version of the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign with a post rate of 2-3 times per week.

Content Warning

  • Violence and Gore: Descriptions of violence, grievous injury, and death (including character death).
  • Body Horror: Depictions of mutation, disease, physical decay, and unnatural biological processes (including birth trauma).
  • Mental Trauma & Insanity: The game uses a 'Sanity' mechanic and focuses heavily on psychological horror, mental deterioration, and traumatic stress responses.
  • Occultism & Rituals: Detailed descriptions of dark magic, human sacrifice, and dangerous cult activity.
  • Depictions of Death & Suicide: Discussions and potential scenarios involving both.
  • Racism, Colonialism, & Xenophobia: As a game set during the peak of global colonialism in the 1920s, the narrative touches on themes of systemic oppression, racial tension, and outdated social attitudes inherent to the period. I don't plan to lean into it, but it's definitely there.
