My Digital World
Digimon World X is the biggest new thing. Having seen an extremely successful Beta, the full game is finally seeing release world wide! A full-dive VR game with accelerated time, a player can spend months in-game within an hour of realtime. Toked as the pinnacle of monster raising, adventure, and even splice of life style games, it allows its players to go and do anything they want along side a digital friend who they can train and raise as they see fit. Want to go on quests, do battle with monsters? Go for it! Want to start a farm or item shop? All you! You can even laze about and smell the digital flowers, all on the floating island-city of Digitopia!
Or, at least, that's how things are being toked in the advertisements. The Beta was very contained, locked down to the city and its nearby environs, all floating well above the greater digital world. The fact of the matter is, even the creator isn't sure if she and her team created the digital world....or tapped into something else by accident. The world beyond the floating city is far wilder, chaotic place than the Beta ever indicated. The digital monsters, Digimon, are the natives of the world and are displaying actual personalities. That is, when they aren't feral beasts.
This, of course, isn't known to our protagonists. A group of Day Oners, they lucked into tickets that let them log in on the game's first day of release. They find themselves in the welcoming plaza, meet their partners and start to explore the starter zone. However, things take a surprising turn when black digital gates open and teleport them away, transferring them down into the actual Digital World.
The group awakes to find themselves in the home of Jijimon. The elderly Digimon quickly explains that the has, accidently, erm, kidnapped them to File Island by mistake. The Island is home to File City, whose residents have begun losing their memories and going feral, leading to the city degrading into its current, rather pathetic state. If the city was restored, however, Jijimon believes he can reconnect the Island with Digitopia's Server.
Now it is up to our heroes how they want to handle the situation. While not the conventional path, it offers and opportunity to explore the real Digital World and discover its secrets. Perhaps, this is the chance to truly follow their dreams, with their loyal partners at their side.
