Starfinder 1e
Phahiymian Universe
A casual game set in the 1e Starfinder universe. Semi organized play, in that we're are going through the Adventure Paths & using the base Starfinder Universe as the base ingredient of our homebrew.
It is a universe where various fantasy worlds exist (Oerth, Abeir-Toril, Krynn, Eberron & the like), often the epicenter of various species. Due to an age of seeding done by Dragonoids fleeing their reality- due to their losing war with Beholders from the Far Realm. Using mystic seals creating from the much ancient & long perished Spell weavers. Creatures of immense arcane prowess, Dragonkin were able to lock Beholders in a universal prison. Escaping on huge Draconaughts (fashioned out of true draconian corpses) they migrated to a universe abundant with magic & seeded prime material worlds with life & various species.
An age of legends... An era set in a primordial epoch spanning millennias before any prehistoric records.
The march of time continued forward, from primal hovels begat kingdoms of antiquity. Each new age leading to the birth of another. Up until the beginning of the space age. Leaving behind long histories, various civilizations left terrestrial boundaries to discover life beyond their own solar systems. This was the previous age one of space exploration using Spelljammers as early star-ships. Encountering strange new worlds and the dreaded Illithid Empire. Exploration turned to war and soon the wonders of the stars turned to eldritch horrors.
A war of atirration began, and many of the common fantasy banded together to begin fighting mind flayer minions of all sorts. Gith being the most numerous. But during this war the Gith, sparked by a few notable members of their society, Yanki & Zerai rose up an rebelled against The Ilithid Empire shattering it. Now sparse few captains are wanted throughout the Galaxies, as such they operate in the vast out reaches of space. Beyond that of the Veskarium.
But the cost of defeat of the Illithium caused the lost of many homeworlds, much like Golarion.. Oerth, Athas, Eberron, Krynn, Abeir-toril, all of these worlds have disappeared. And the great planar hub, Sigil was destroyed. This planar disruption caused Deities to be torn asunder & magic was shredded, as these planets were ripped away and many of it's peoples lost without homeworlds. This being the infamous Gap. Experienced for a similar length of time, to that of the core settting. The Difference in being, the Gap encompasses the loss of these 'fantasy home worlds.' Leaving many adrift in the universe. Exploring, making temporary homes on strange worlds. A stellar diaspora. Striving to remember their native ways & names of the deities of their fore fathers, whilst adapting to new flora, fauna, culture, creatures & species of new worlds.
The end of the 300 year Gap saw the return of these homeworlds as abandoned space stations. Seemingly created as bastions of these lost civilizations, many with shrines to long lost gods. These space stations were found uninhabited, but filled with technology & magical relics calling many lost among the stars home. These space stations, though different in design they collectively form a bond (Absalom station, being the Home of the Pact Council) Each station is stationary in its orbit, as the third celestial body revolving around central a sun.
300 years after, the Drift was born. Spell jammer technology is outdated since the advent of The Drift.
