Rancorweald
There are those who pray that they will get what they deserve...
In these dread forests, abysmal seas, there are monsters. The Ancient forms the horrors that rule; the fiends and fae still forge their dark bargains; the angels have fallen; the gods are dead. But even though all heroes have fallen, another still may rise. Are you one such hero? Will you deny the darkness, and labor that the light will shine pure once again?

In these dread forests, abysmal seas, there are monsters. The Ancient forms the horrors that rule; the fiends and fae still forge their dark bargains; the angels have fallen; the gods are dead. This world has its monsters, but there is always room for more. Will you rule this realm where fear and power are one; will you fall to the very depths of Hell to claim what you desire; will you bargain, fight, and steal to fulfill your ambitions?
A malicious forested land beneath a dozen accursed moons, the Rancorweald never sees the day. Long ago, in a time before our memory, the forest was gentle and kind. That was in the time before the living offended the Ancient. Though the truth of how is lost to the ages, all know the Ancient is the spirit of the whole Weald, and when the living earned it's rancor, it drew the Weald against them. The moons became eternal curses, the sole city crumbled, and any who felt the touch of the Ancient became it's bitter malice. The sun was stopped at midnight, and never rose again. Humans, elves, dwarves, and the other creatures have learned to survive, but civilization is reduced to scattered encampments. The earth will not support more.
You have survived, and now it is up to you to choose your fate.
Rancorweald is a D&D 5e setting combining cosmic horror, epic fantasy, and proactive roleplaying. I'll run groups of 1-4, and I'll try to run as many as possible. If I end up with too many players, I may put yours on hold until I get an opportunity to let you in. I'll expect you to post when you can, and hope you'll bear with me if life requires to much of me for a while.
