When the Rifts tore reality apart, Japan was not spared. A land rich with ley line energy, its people watched as their world was unmade and reborn in chaos.
From the ruins, civilization clawed its way back, but it was divided. Some rejected technology entirely, turning to ancient traditions and mysticism to survive. Others embraced the future, fusing cybernetics, power armor, and advanced warfare with the discipline of the past.
But humans were not the only survivors.
The Rifts brought demons—Oni, terrible beings of nightmare and shadow, their monstrous forms laying claim to entire swaths of the land. They rule with fire and fear, turning once-great cities into twisted fortresses of horror.
