Rise of the Runelords, 2E Conversion

GM WVUFan1971 · 2 players

The Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path converted to Pathfinder 2nd Editon.

In the sleepy coastal town of Sandpoint, evil is brewing. An attack by crazed goblins during the annual Swallowtail Festival quickly turns into something more ominous as the shadows of a dark past come back to haunt the town—and perhaps all of Varisia. Can the heroes stop the awakening of a legendary runelord and keep him from reclaiming his lost kingdom of greed?

The Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path begins with a goblin attack and takes players on an epic journey through the land of Varisia as they track a cult of serial killers, fight depraved backwoods ogres, stop an advancing army of stone giants, delve deep into ancient dungeons to reclaim weapons of unbelievable power, and finally go up against an all-powerful wizard-king in his ancient mountaintop city

So begins the first of the Pathfinder Adventure Paths, now converted for use in 2nd editon.

After a long hiatus due to health issues, I'm wanting to get back into gaming, and would love to do so here. The Questions section is for any specific questions about the application process, and this will be updated to reflect any changes made based on questions, but here's the basics:

Level 1 characters. Rise of the Runelords goes to 20th level.
Any heritages, ancestries and classes in Paizo books are approved, Most Battlezoo ancestries are also allowed (such as Dragons). I would stay away from Dungeons, oozes and Demigods, though. :)

Your character will begin in the small town of Sandpoint, in Varisia, near the beginning of that town's Swallowtail Festival. Your character might a native, a former native returning to festival or even just passing through, but they must start in town, and please explain why there are there.

Shared backgrounds are fantastic, but you don't have to do that. It would be great if the characters already knew each other, but we can make it work if they don't.

I know there's no alignments anymore, but please no evil-acting characters. They don't lend themselves to this kind of game. If your character is undead, have a good reason why they're in town, and be prepared for ... a potentially chilly welcome by the citizens of Sandpoint.

Any other questions, please either ask in the questions topic or PM me if it's a secret.
