Tales of New Bechafen
New Bechafen is the sole location on the Vampire Coast of northern Lustria that can claim to be a town or city, and is home to perhaps 2,500 Men, Dwarfs, and Halflings, as well as an even larger but unknown number of Undead. Founded over a thousand years ago in memory of the town of Bechafen that the Vampire Lord Luthor Harkon once called home, New Bechafen serves several purposes. On the surface, it is a port and trading town, though few ships call there. It is Harkon's capital, though its mortal residents dread his occasional visits. It is, also, a haven for the Undead, who can wander freely without fear of witch hunter or Raven Knight. In truth, though, it is a reserve food source for Harkon and his servants, should the seas be denied to them. Indeed, they rarely refer to it by its official name, instead calling it "Speisekammer" -- "Larder" in Reikspiel. It is from here that the players will start, Mortal souls in a city of the walking dead, out to make names for themselves among the nights aristocracy for good or ill, or die in the attempt.
It's been a long while since I've done play by post, but I figure it would be a good idea to lean into the sorts of things play by post does well. So this WFRP 4e campaign will focus heavily on side actions. In particular Enterprises, Gangs, and Settlements. There will be some homebrew content to go with the setting. Gangs will be modified heavily to be pirate crews. Both living and dead.

Posting Expectations: The game is set to casual, but the goal is once a week ideally. But life happens.
