The Dracomouth Campaign

Welcome to Dracomouth, a seaside town that’s as beautiful as it is unsettling. On the surface, it’s all sandy beaches and cheerful promenades—but beneath the sunlit veneer, something strange is always lurking just out of sight. The Town of Dracomouth Dracomouth is modeled after a classic British coastal town, but with a twist: the town’s authorities are obsessed with keeping everyone happy, controlled, and—above all—compliant. The Peace Officers (officially the Dracomouth Correctional Officers, or DCOs) patrol the streets, especially guarding travel points in and out of town with unusual vigilance.

Lore Primer: The World of Dracomouth

Welcome to Dracomouth, a seaside town that’s as beautiful as it is unsettling. On the surface, it’s all sandy beaches and cheerful promenades—but beneath the sunlit veneer, something strange is always lurking just out of sight.

The Town of Dracomouth

Dracomouth is modeled after a classic British coastal town, but with a twist: the town’s authorities are obsessed with keeping everyone happy, controlled, and—above all—compliant. The Peace Officers (officially the Dracomouth Correctional Officers, or DCOs) patrol the streets, especially guarding travel points in and out of town with unusual vigilance.

Nerve Media

One of the town’s most powerful tools is Nerve Media. This isn’t just television or radio—it’s a pervasive, magical broadcast system that shapes the thoughts and moods of Dracomouth’s citizens. Nerve Media uses everything from motivational mantras to mood-altering frequencies and even subtle magical suggestions to keep people docile and forgetful. The more exposed you are, the more you might find your own memories and motivations shifting.

  • Influence: Exposure to Nerve Media is tracked by a stat called Influence. The higher your Influence, the more the media shapes your reality—sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.

  • NPCs: Many town officials and committee members wear earpieces, feeding them a constant stream of curated messages.

The Kraken Cult

The kraken cult is a mysterious organisation who worship a so-called kraken supposedly living in Dracomouths main beach, known as Draco Bay. The Pier is often a meeting place at night, while during the day it innocently acts as a place to buy ice creams, cornish pasties and sometimes the odd person selling moonshine cider.

Locations Highlight: Halo

Halo is a club at the heart of Dracomouth’s mysteries. By day, it looks like just another trendy spot, but at night, it transforms:

  • Atmosphere: The club plays hypnotic playlists every night—a blend of deep house with integrated whale song, and suggestions ranging from “buy a drink” to “bleed”

  • Secrets: Upstairs, a locked booth broadcasts AAAAAAAA, hinting at the town’s obsession with surveillance and control.

  • Oddities: The building itself seems to shift and shimmer, with iridescent stone, a flickering neon sign, and a steeple that never seems to stay in one place.

What Lies Beneath

Dracomouth is a place where reality is always just a little bit off-kilter. The town’s sunny exterior hides layers of manipulation, memory loss, and cosmic mystery. Whether you’re drawn in by the promise of freedom, the allure of the unknown, or the thrill of rebellion, remember: in Dracomouth, nothing is ever quite as it seems.

Explore, question, and keep your wits about you—the truth is out there, but it won’t give itself up easily.
