  • Structure: An old and grand galaxy containing around a trillion stars, with a distinct civilization centered on a small group of planets ready to explore faster-than-light (FTL) travel.
  • Key Features: The galaxy features unique phenomena such as unusual nebulae, dense star clusters, ancient mysteries, paranormal rifts and much more. These environments will host various adventures and challenges.

The Ethenorian Civilization

The Ethenorian Civilization stands at a crossroads, splintered by internal conflict and a proliferation of competing factions. Once unified as a solar system-wide empire, it has fractured into disparate territories dominated by corporate interests, criminal syndicates, and fervent religious extremists.

Though the civilization has eradicated most known diseases and alleviated poverty through comprehensive benefit systems and diverse economic opportunities, greed, madness, and clashing ideologies have led to the collapse of what was once a harmonious empire. The central government retains political control over the capital planet—the birthplace of humans, dwarves, and elves—but its influence wanes across the myriad independent colonies scattered throughout the star system.

This is an era of intense political strife, where the void is both a promise and a threat. As factions vie for power, and citizens navigate the uncertainties of a fragmented society, the cosmos beckons with the allure of expansion, shrouded in the fear of unknown dangers and tempered by widespread apathy.

Amidst the turmoil, the galaxy prepares to usher in a new age. The question is whether it will be marked by unity or chaos, opportunity or downfall.

Key Locations

  1. Core Planets:

    • Planet Astharia (Capital of the remnant of the United Empire): A bustling metropolis known for its innovation and trade where most species and hybrids live in a shaky peace held by a diminishing authority.
    • Planet Lysthia (First terraformed world, A jungle world colonised and controlled mostly by elves and humans): Lush forests and strong ether nexii where magic is strong, but kept in check by the Orthius sect of elder high elves. A stringent quasi-religious group that deviated from what they saw as an increasingly weakening in morals core government. (May be more to it than what it shows)
    • Planet Karkasus (Dwarven Forge World): The volcanic planet Karkasus, a giant rocky world 4 times larger than the core world Astharia and 3 times larger than Lysthia, stands at a boiling point distance from the sun, if it were relative to the real world, it would be twice as close to the Ethenor sun as Mercury is to our Sol sun.
    • Ostimuth Asteroid belt (First asteroid belt of the 3): A haven for merchants, travelers, and adventurers, acting as the main point of contact between different factions. Highly grey law-wise, perfect contact for the black market, the pirate cartels and crime syndicates of the system.
  2. Space Stations: There are many floating cities or hubs for trade, diplomacy, and combat training can be located between planets, serving as gathering points for bounty hunters, traders, and adventurers. They will be listed later int he game as with the many other factions.

  3. The Other Planets: The system has other planets with one very mysterious planet at the edge being impaled by a gigantic planet sized alien star-ship of unknown origins. Nobody has gotten near it but for the foolish, mad or brazen egomaniac criminals. Planet Oblyll. The rest will be listed in the game as i upload them.

Player Gatherings

  • Initiating the Party: Players can be introduced through various means, such as:
    • A summons to a planetary council to discuss the implications of FTL technology.
    • A festival on a neutral trade hub, where characters can meet and intrigue each other through performances, goods, and gossip.
    • A crisis event like a space pirate attack or a mysterious disappearance that gathers disparate characters for a common goal.
    • You all know each other in game and are planning a party to talk about your lives

Game Structure

  • Homebrew Game: I'm allways a GM that likes to mix game styles for further ease among the player base. So this is also a mix of Starfinder, D20 Future, DnD and Pathfinder elements. My goal is to create a collaborative space where you can suggest or create new content with me onboard.
  • Open-world Interaction: You'll navigate this society, allowing for plenty interactions. Instead of a linear campaign, you can choose to pursue personal goals, form alliances, engage in political maneuvering, or embark on quests. Engage freely with the world, finding quests through living in this civilization, influencing its future for better or worse.
  • Dynamic Quests: You may encounter random or narrative-driven quests based on your choices, helping NPCs, solving local disputes, or choosing a side in the multiple conflicts that drive or break this civilization. Maybe you'll end up building your own faction in the far future.
  • Character Development: As you influence the system, your actions can have far-reaching consequences, enabling you to become key players in the civilization's evolution.
  • Interactive world: Seize opportunities to interact with the environment—mine resources, shape the terrain, and leverage your political and corporate influence. You can even end up rebuilding cities in your own ideals image if your political power gets to a certain size, establish new bases, or develop entire new cities, leaving a lasting impact on the galaxy.

Player Characters:

  • Backstory-Driven: Your character's monetary starting level will reflect their past experiences and societal status. You can develop a rich backstory to weave into the fabric of this world.
  • Progression: This will be a non-traditional progression system. Gain rewards, XP, and resources independently, driven by your actions and interactions with the world. The usual group-wide rewards does not apply, but as a party you can share stuff organically depending on how you end up agreeing with each other.

Themes and Challenges

  • Exploration: You'll will face challenges balancing innovation with cultural traditions, especially during your venture into FTL travel, whenever that may dawn on this civilization.
  • Moral Choices: You may have to make decisions that affect various factions, resources, and relationships among the races, if your group decides to pursue such a journey.
  • Adventurers' Impact: Your actions could lead to the rise or fall of political powers, tech advancements, or even social upheaval, depending on your choices.
  • Mystery of the Aliens: Rumors of governmental conspiracies related to Planet Oblyll are spread system wide, that massive ship has not really stayed untouched by officialities, and perhaps the new FTL drive so advertised has some relation to that behemoth.
  • Political Shifts: As new powers rise, older factions may feel threatened, leading to potential open conflict or secretive maneuvers.
  • Intergalactic Threats: As the civilization prepares to launch into interstellar space, a looming external threat might show up, requiring you to unite various unlikely factions against a common enemy, or maybe you decide to side with whatever looms in the galactic horizon.
