The Slave Pits of Prymp

GM TheOldTraveller · 7 players

Free captives, fight villains and monsters, and try to escape the wicked city of Prymp with your lives and whatever loot you can carry.

This scenario, a loose sequel to my earlier games set in the Free State of Onnwal, in the World of Greyhawk, is inspired by the A series, fan-work by the guys on Canonfire, Richard Pett's The Styes, and various tales of derring-do and grimy medieval urban fantasy.

PREMISE/MISSION SET-UP

The PCs are a band of sellswords or heroes working for a patron in the city of Scant in Onnwal who wishes to strike a blow at the foul pirates and slavers of Prymp, South Province. The party's mission is to infiltrate the slave dungeons, free a group of Onnwalese captives, and escape the city, travelling to a waiting ship that will transport them back to Scant. The job requires stealth and cunning. Skill in swordplay and sorcery may prove vital. Charging headlong into Prymp and trying to fight all the city guards, slavers, and other enemies will surely end in disaster.

The reward is 10 g.p. cash per captive rescued, to be placed in a party reward pool, plus a letter of credit for 100 g.p. value given to each team member. Benefits are paid to heirs in the event of a team member's demise. The adventurers will be allowed to keep any valuables or magic items they happen to 'liberate' from the villains of Prymp.

Expect regular updates and a fairly quick pace, allowing for things to slow down when we are waiting on people to post actions in combat.
