History
Roger had lived in a small halfling village that had been enslaved by some of the demon horde. His people were lucky, unlike many of the demons, this one preferred gluttony and luxury over torture and suffering. As long as the halflings provided him enough to gorge himself with, he would allow them to live. Occasionally he would devour a random cook, for burning his meal, or not cooking it to specification, but this was the life that his people had to live.

His mother had kept his birth secret, since many halfling were already well rounded, she managed to keep Roger safe. When she saw he had a mark on his cheeks, she grew concerned, what if the demon who presided over her people saw the child and find him a threat, or worse, eat him.

She had Roger stowed away in a basket as a cart was leaving town, it seemed safe enough, it carried different things in order to trade for more food stuffs that the halflings already didn't. She had planned for this for several weeks, her fears were that she would be discovered.
She managed to escape, on her travels she found refuge in an elven city, there Roger grew up among the elves, who treated Roger like a child, even though he has already grown up in age, he thought nothing of it though.

A few good elves who were scouts educated Roger on how to be extremely stealthy, even in the wide open, and with his natural small size and demeanor he was a perfect student. The elven instructors really didn't want to teach him the ways of the longsword, but instead gave him a small rapier and a sap. A sap can be quite a powerful tool if used properly, and over the years, Roger had become quite adept.

Swift as Shadows: Halflings possess incredible stealth even while moving through obstructed areas. Halflings with this racial trait reduce the penalty for using Stealth while moving by 5, and reduce the Stealth check penalty for sniping by 10. This racial trait replaces sure-footed.
Blessed: Halflings with this trait receive a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against curse effects and hexes. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by halfling luck. This racial trait replaces fearless.
Halfling Luck: Halflings receive a +1 racial bonus on all saving throws.
Behind the Veil: Characters with this trait gain a +2 bonus on Bluff and Sleight of Hand checks while benefiting from concealment or cover. Halflings can take this trait in place of weapon familiarity.
Keen Senses: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.

Humble Beginnings - Boot
Mark of the Chosen: Each character starts with this trait. The Mark is a visible, shimmering white mark, in the character's face. Size and form is up to you. The Mark lets the player reroll one roll per encounter and allows the player to choose whichever result. Rolls made immediately after the encounter (such as healing) count as being within the same encounter. In addition, the Mark confers a +1 bonus modifier to all Saving Throws. This bonus stacks with all other bonuses.
