Pegasus you have always underestimated people you have thought have been below your perception.  Moto draws 7 cards, he looks up at Pegasus | Ill play the card Young Hero a young boy spawns in-between the two, his attack and defense might be weak but he has a great purpose says Moto.   Then ill play two cards face down,   Moto looks down at his cards and back at Pegasus, a man who in all the times he has known Pegasus has never faltered, I have to try...  

A huge mansion hidden away on a private Island a man is drinking wine, in a glass comfortable. An old man makes his way out of the darkness, carrying a briefcase and looking disheveled. He steps up revealing  himself. "Pegasus we need to talk about this tournament your planning" "Is that my old friend, Moto good to see you but I'm not surprised you'r hear" Moto looks down at his briefcase, before steeling his nerve. "Pegasus  when we discovered this game this was never my intent, being  a business building this wealth, this popularity, you know as well as I do that this isn't right" Pegasus smiles as he stands to look at his old friend.  Moto glares back at him I didn't come here to join you Pegasus, I came here to stop you. I'll do it the only way you'll understand, Moto pulls a deck out of his briefcase   "With a Duel" Pegasus looks at Moto with a Side Glance as he sees the deck Moto has taken out of his case. "We built that deck ages. ago do you really think those old cards can defeat the man who has access to every card in the game. Pegasus goes to his back office and presses a button as the walls descend revealing 100 decks with gold backs. Moto still defiant says " Every deck has a chance "  As he sees the decks with gold backs he says "The Osiris Decks!?, you reassembled them ? Pegasus picks one of the decks, before saying "Lets Duel"  

Dueling Discus's  There are cited as being prototypes of the dueling discus being the equivalent of the Nintendo power glove, that were made early on in the card games release.(In case anyone wants to use an old variant)   Created recently in the year 2020, they were developed to enhance the Dual cards industry by allowing high octane duels from almost anywhere, with built in online play, the Dueling Discus's have become the Number one console to purchase because of the Duel cards craze. These devices also have the ability to display the Duel cards action, in small soft light holograms that can pass through most anything they vary in size based on location. For the Tournament in 2022 the powers that be have decided to have this grand tournament be the unveiling pf the Dueling Discus's X which all specifications have been approved on, from a lighter weight to being able to now hold a 100-card side deck you can manage through the system.  The Xs have been set aside for the very best in the tournament. (Namely the Ten Kings) All dueling Discus's are forward and backward capable, meaning you can play in the tournament with whatever system you have.

You've brought up something I need to look into for running this game I think Ill have to change some of the moves so they make more sense in a card battler game. As for the Techniques it can be Ethier or, My intention with the Techniques was maybe as an example  Weevil from Yu gi Oh  Techniques Bug Deck Insectoids Creepy Crawlies ultimate   Insect Queen

This seems really cool. Interested in seeing how this works for this genre. I’ve bought the book and read through it a bit. Should be fun to play with.    for the techniques, are you thimking we describe specific cards and what they do? Or describe an effect that the deck specializes in then we flavor the card around that as we play?

WIP   Name: Ace Banshee Playbook: The Tireless Look: Brown skin, Black hair, brown eyes. Wears cool leather clothing. His Duel Deck is covered in images of flames.  Techniques: Deck Type: Dungeons and Dragons T1 - Class cards: Fighter. Deals Damage to the opposing deck.  T2- Monster cards: Cockatrice. Paralyzes the opposing deck.  T3- Dungeon Cards: Slows down the opposing deck.  Ties: Notes: I guess I see him as a fiery never say die type of guy. I’m open to suggestions on the deck theme. This seems like an interesting subversion of the game and fantasy genre. This game world is very similar to the modern age the biggest difference is the cultural domination of Dual battlers a game that was produced in the early 90s. The rules for the game are based off an old game found in the ancient tombs and graves of powerful figures of the past, Kings, Pharaohs, and gods played this game before it was lost to time. Now uncovered and the rules updated it became incredibly popular among the youth of America and Japan.  Through a number of highly successful marketing campaigns, in 1998 the game was considered a game that could be shared among all ages. The game spread internationally around the world, card sets began to be released Regionally, With the game becoming a trillion-dollar enterprise, emphasis was placed on a balancing of the cards, With so much interest. New card sets were released daily, to go along with its popularity. Allowing people to virtually have any kind of deck they could imagine, to build and play with. By the year 2000 the game was so popular it had become the world's new dollar, with smaller developing nations doing away with their money completely using playing cards over their own currency.  This was also the year of the first King of Games a title awarded to the best player in the world.  At this first tournament, the whole world was watching and cheering along, the First ever winner was a young player from Burundi the poorest nation in the world. 2 years later Burundi had become one of the top 10 richest counties because of the title of King of Games. It no longer was just a title or bragging rights the King of Games had actual political power the ability to raise nations.    This fierce rivalry between the world's nations created the king system. where there would be 10 Kings so as to share the wealth and prevent one nation from profiting from it all. the titles became rotating around the world.   While the 10 kings were the ten best in the world. only the Kings knew who the actual king of Games was.  Many countries held their own private tournaments to announce their own Lord of games. 2018 the announcement of the amusement park being built on a manmade island for dual battlers was given to the world its purpose was to find the true king of games. The architect of the game wanted a tournament that invited anyone interested in playing to come experience the island and see the crowning of the first True king of games. Hopefuls the world over began playing creating an upsurge in players in preparation. Now the 10 Kings every countries Lord of Games. and 10000 regional champions and random invitees will battle it out on Duelist Island to crown the True king of Games.
