About This Game

Welcome to Reapers a campaign heavily inspired by anime such as Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Psycho Pass and the SCP fandom site. This is a game that will be running with the fate system with a few modification. With that said this is a cyberpunk styled world along with supernatural occurring elements.

Detailed Description

spacer.pngWelcome to REAPERS, a classified military operations group that specializes in foreign and domestic level 2-3 supernatural containment procedures. REAPERS is a detachment of the Japanese Marines and only selects sinners, androids and the gifted to join its ranks.

Its the year 2081, and the world of plagued with the appearance of the Abyss, supernatural creatures that prey on humanities emotions and actions. REAPERS was created by the Japanese Government as a solution to deter the populace from committing crime and engaging in sin. Those who are found guilty of committing a crime are placed into a lottery no matter the severity and if selected are forced to join REAPERS and combat the Abyss.

At the same time, people began changing.. gaining supernatural abilities of our own. Society began calling them Gifted. The Government quickly swept these people off the streets and began using them as their dogs to sniff out the abyss. Some people say this is the return of the Nephilim others say they aren't from this world. All we know is that they are the best thing humanity has to stopping normies from dying.

These are the stories of the REAPERS and it is only the surface..

  1. What's new in this game
  2. GAME CLOSED,  due to inactivity of the majority of players. I’ve decided to cancel this game until further notice. I intended on this being a faster speed game with higher post rates unfortunately I guess irl has gotten the best of the crew. I hope we can all game in the near future. Thank you everyone who applied and made characters for the game. I appreciate everyone and their time. I’m sorry if this seemed sudden. Till next time.
  3. Hey Woody! Its all good mate, Im sorry your trip ended like that gesh that sounds crazy. I hope you get some rest. We will be here.
  4. I apologize for my sudden absence this past week. I went on a small trip for Thanksgiving and ended up having to spend several days in the hospital. I'm ok, just had a mild concussion and several bruised ribs. I'm just on tonight to say I'm still here, and I will get posting again tomorrow.
  5. As  Hoshi walked into the Hallway a body would come crashing into the ground in front of Them from the upper floors. Looking up, Hoshi would notice a woman with long grey hair looking over the edge, before the team could react she would quickly remove herself from the area. The screaming of young adults could be heard intensifying up above.

Nobody cared if a broken-into mall was vandalized. "He could have just used the doorknob." They mused as they started walking after him. "Hey big guy, I think I know where some people are!" As they walked they came to the main hall and smelled blood as their boots squished into something. Looking down they realized that it was someone's corpse or at least a part of it and they saw all the other corpses around drawing their gun.
  7. The officers looked in surprise that Abaddon walked through shattering the glass doors as he just broke through the building without hesitation. " This is what happens when you let scum have a job, they always seem to mess things up. Make sure this hole is guarded, anything that comes near it. Kill it, I don't care if it looks like a person or not."   The Officers would look at the rest of the team as they waited to see what they would do next..    FIRST FLOOR ZONES The first floor was littered with charred bodies and items all on the ground. Majority of the shops had been completely destroyed, and only a few of the lights seemed to work due to damage. It was a complete mess, nothing was left alive in this area and the screams of civilians could be heard coming from the upper floors.    Main Hall- The main hall connects all zones on the first floor, in order to get to any of the other zones you must come to this one.  Aspects: Elevators and Stairs, The Connector, Body Filled   Gift Shop- A place where small gifts related to Tokyo could be bought Aspects: Destroyed and a Mess   Zales- A famous jewelry store that is completely locked down.  Aspects: Locked down, Unaffected and secured Extra: can not be broken into with strength or hacking.    Security Office- The Main Security Office for the building. And then there are times where every second could be life or death.   Abbadon doesn't wait for the police officers (heroically waiting outside the building) to finish talking. Bottom to top, easier to break contact, but that'd leave civilians to die and we'd lose momentum on the stairwells. 2nd floor entrance means taking contact from both above and below, one necessarily our flank, plus we still have four floors above us of staircases to lose momentum on. Recommend a 6th floor entry. Or a split breach, all entrances at once, distract as many hounds as possible on the lower floors while roof team clears from top down. 16.   Max was on his room reading a law book when the call for action arrived. It was boring, really boring technical stuff, but he had nothing better to do until now.    Finally! Some action for a change. - He was getting really anxious and nervous, without something more meaningful to occupy his mind. He liked to live on the edge. It was the only time when he felt really alive. He paused to carefully read the mission brief and made a frown. Not the best mission, but better than nothing.   He proceeded to grab his gear, while thinking that they could give him better info, going almost blind was a huge liability. He stopped at the requisition center to require extra gear. He was thinking of taking a camera drone and portable jet packs for this mission. He hoped they would let him have them.   Only after that he moved to the helipad. He nodded to his companions and sat at his place. He had a clear idea of how he would act, but he considered himself only a Reaper tool. A gun to be pointed. He was not a superior anymore, and certainly not being paid enough to think, or receive a bonus in cash for performance.   Max "Talon" Heimdall ⌬Max "Talon" Heimdall⌬ Base Refresh: 3 Adjusted Refresh: 2   High Concept: Security Officer Mercenary Trouble: Adrenaline Rush Free Aspect: The flesh is weak Free Aspect: Hell's advocate    ⌬SKILLS⌬ Great (+4) | {Athletics} Good (+3) | {Fight}, {Stealth} Fair (+2) | {Shoot}, {Physique}, {Notice} Average (+1) | {Contacts}, {Rapport}, {Resources}, {Computer Operations} ⌬STRESS⌬ Physical Stress: OOOOO Mental Stress: OOO   ⌬Stunts⌬  None   ⌬Augmentations⌬ Cyber-Heart (Major): You can install and use other cyber-augs. Abbadon didn't even bother to read it; Abbadon put down the rag in their hand on the nearest counter, then started jogging to the helicopter. They could read on the ride there.   Only when Abbadon had wedged themselves onto the helicopter's bench did they start quietly reading. Whoever wrote the dossier on Asa would absolutely be getting a reprimand by their superior, but it sure was helpful. Seemed Asa wasn't likely to be compliant. And that's why Abbadon carries cable ties. Seems the mission requires dealing with these hounds ASAP anyways. There'll be no time to slow down; scene sounds like chaos. If Abbadon can subdue the Abyss quick enough, perhaps Asa wouldn't have time to do anything stupid...if she's still alive by the time the helicopter arrives. The android's head cocked slightly at Pandora's question, a low, mechanical whirring accompanying the movement. "Asks the simian," it quipped. Unit 25-2213-87's neural processors had begun rewriting and adding to some of the base social programming that had been implanted in it over the months spent with its current squad. It had begun to pick up on sarcasm and innuendo, mostly from Pandora and Hiroto, and it had begun replying in kind, though without any regularity or predictability. It caught the squad off-guard a lot of the time, as androids never responded in such a manner.   Accessing it's wireless link, Raptor searched through various local news broadcasts, photo and video uploads, and even the REAPER database to try to find any additional information regarding the attack that might give them an edge in the fight to come.

You can also generate sounds, including voices. You must concentrate to keep the illusion active. Others must actively try to see through your illusion. This is an overcome roll using Investigate, which you actively oppose using Deceive. Full Sensory Overload: Your illusions cover all the bases: sight, sound, smell, and even touch. That said, anyone attempting to physically push through an illusion will quickly realize it offers no actual physical resistance. Basic Telepathy: You can use empathy to glean information from the minds of people in your zone or adjacent zones. If your target knows or suspects you are reading their mind, they can actively oppose you with Will. Empathy can discover what someone is feeling. You can also project words into the minds of anyone within range. It consisted of a bunch of books and a computer that could only access Wikipedia but it was better than nothing. A lawbook lay open on the table with its page open on the gifted registration act and the computer was on the page about the abyss and they scribbled down notes. It was slow going so far as they couldn't exactly search up 'How to escape REAPER' without getting blown up so they always had to have plausible deniability. As they scribbled down some legalese a mission briefing came up on the screen glowing red. Hiroto sighed and started getting ready while reading the details. Bunch of people in a mall who might die had to only save one because of nepotism. They didn't like the look of the girl either. She reminded them of the rich girls at school who laughed behind their back when their mom died. A spike of anger came up only to be buried deep under the surface as they put on their fatigues. When they were finished they took out something that they had been hiding. A can of spray paint. They walked to the helipad Pandora, Abaddon and Raptor were already there of course. They loaded their pistol before stepping into the helicopter, waving hi as they pulled on a 5-point harness. "Wanna see some new forms of subcultural art?" They said to Raptor.
