Assorted race ideas:
The same thing as the above, but relating to races I've made for civilization-building or god-games.Watch this space too.

Oh, hey, the petition for Australia is up. At least I'm pretty sure that's the right one, it doesn't say 'Stop Killing Games' but it does say 'require software sold to remain in a functional state after the end of the product's support period'.

Assorted character ideas:
I keep going back and looking at old characters I made, so, I might as well share them here whenever I go look at one. Expect things with horns and scales.
Watch this space.

Darn...I wanted to sign the petition in Australia, but it looks like the petition won't go up for signatures until the House of Representatives next meets...and it seems like they've adjourned until around the 15th of May.

*acquires a Ring of X-Ray Vision, a Ring of Invisibility, a Necklace of Adaption, Boots of Levitation, a wand of Lesser Restoration, a wand of Dispel Magic, Permanency'd Arcane Sight and See Invisibility, a 10 ft. pole, and a Portable Hole*
*very carefully climbs up the hill*
*puts down the Portable Hole on top of the hill and casts an Illusory Wall (or rather, illusory ground) to hide it*
*puts a flag in the ground right next to the hole, before inhaling*
MY HILL!
*carefully steps back and watches while invisible to see what happens*

I don't suppose we could appoint an interim DM, grab the stats for a few monsters, and run a mini-adventure with the characters we've built...? Until Dalamb can (hopefully) resume?

The Purple Dolphin Inn seems like it's stalled...is there anything anyone wants to do? Or are we waiting for feedback from Dalamb?
For a "generic" fantasy setting: an old world or a new one?

Hmm...I think I tend to lean towards 'old world'; when I build characters, I'm not sure but I think they trend towards 'rediscover lost lore' and 'rebuild ancient thing' and whatnot. Not inventors, but archaeologists.
I've actually been wondering for a while, what a socially/technologically advanced D&D world would look like, while still being high fantasy. If some kingdom or federation survived long enough without losing generational knowledge to war or famine or monster hordes or some other society-collapsing catastrophe?
Would there be arsenals and early factories, where craftsmen and homunculi can churn out wheels and warships? Vast libraries with post offices and scribes ready to make copies of anything requested in a sort of proto-internet?
