You are a privateer – an officer of the crew of the Swift Vengeance, whose captain, Melara Zentaru, holds a Letter of Marque and Reprisal from the High Queen of Andaron, to harass the shipping of the rival nation of Iverina. You are not a pirate – an enemy of all sentient beings everywhere – and are expected to follow the Laws of War – but so are the Iverinans you fight.
