    Macsen studies the captain intently then noticing the frantic movements from the little Zila, attempting to draw Sarai's intention towards the Captain's boots. It's then that Macsen senses the strange odor.

    In a monotone voice "Yes I can smell it too Sarai. What is it?"

    Hearing Sarai shout her warning to Elektra, Macsen tenses ready to spring into action if anything occurs. Macsen eyes dart between, Elektra, Saria and the Captain, keen to find the answer.

    Macsen keeps a close watch on the Captain Anika, listening intently to her. As the captain mentions the quakes and visions, Macsen nods solemnly and knowingly along.

    "Yes, quakes and nightmares, a plague upon this land and city."

    "These vultures, just the Morning Glory or have their been others?"

    Gwen takes the opportunity to inspect the larger demon arch, as well looking to see if there is anything that her divine senses give her off the scent of evil.

    "If we head back we will need to maneuver across that pit again. Making a retreat to a safer location is not a bad idea but word of caution for the traps we have already passed. I think it's worth exploring this room and getting a sense of direction before we do, just in case there is a better solution."

    Character Concept

    Character is based loosely on the final fantasy "Blue Mage", a mage that can use monsters abilities. Considering that there is no class that perfectly mimics it, I have the idea of using a wizard to take spells that can be roleplayed as monstrous abilities.

    Decided factotum on the other side to provide skills and buy into the idea of understanding creatures we face.

    Taking a moment to catch her breath, sweat upon her brown, Gwen cleans the ichor from her blade before sheathing it. "Good work everyone, I thought they would never stop coming."

    Kicking one of the corpses in front of her. "Yes a good idea, hopefully there is someone suitable up ahead."

    Macsen nods along to the discussion amongst the group of what's best to do. Finding himself a seat to settle in when the Captain of the Guard arrived. Her appearance provided further evidence of the fierce battle that took place here.

    Letting Skold take the lead, his stature better place with the captain.

    Feeling her blade cut into the Gwen, it unfortunately was not a clean hit barely slicing into the rotting flesh before she pulls the blade free. Ducking from the swing of the zombie's axe Gwen takes another swipe, her breathing focused and muscles taught as she goes for a killing blow.

    Watching Racanna experience the moment once again, Macsen felt a profound sense of sadness at her movements. Although he didn't fully understand he could see the pain on her face.

    "If there is anything we can do to help we will. Shade is right we should try to deal with this matter with the lady of the house which should provide more answers hopefully." Macsen gives a sympathetic expression.

    Feeling the zombie's axe bite into her, Gwen utters a curse back at the zombie, enrages Gwen takes another swing hoping to match Camlann in striking down the undead ahead of them.

    Gwen gives a thanks to the healing she receives from Father Wilwick.

    Leaving Skold and Shade to help the young lady, Macsen nods to both Sarai and Lord Mclare. "I have an idea myself but agree we need one of them on our side if we are to sway the Lady Nefekare away from the Evening Glory."

    Taking a sympathetic smile to the Lady Racanna. "Your introductions would be most welcome."

    Macsen listening to the conversation and Varons explanation to the situation and the options that lay before them.

    Macsen gives a quick informal bow to Doallyn and his wife, providing his name for introductions. "Macsen, it's a pleasure. A lady who is in distress and being prayed on by unscrupulous individuals is something that I can not stand by and let happen and it's good to see a man with such morals as well."

    Listening to Shades input of the customs and insight to the Lady, Macsen joins Skold in taking a piece of the sacred hospitality.

    "The Eye of the gate." Macsen let it drip off his tongue, a quiet whisper to himself, pondering the cryptic meaning and if any such phrase pricked at the back of his mind.

    'It would be good to discuss these matters with to help sway our cause. I imagine you have better insight into the inner workings of the high society, is there anything else we can use to help sway the challenge?"

    As they get closer to the dwarves Macsen keeps himself clear, fully aware of the attitudes of Clan Rakner. Hearing Elektra's point of not drawing attention to her Macsen side steps next to Skold to help bloke what view he can.

    Seeing Skold visibly tense from the remark Macsen gives him a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

    Curious at the disagreement Macsen listens closely to Varron as he explains who these dwarves are. Clan Rakner, Macsen racked his mind if he knew of them.

    Macsen kept quiet as the others questioned Varron as to whether he had a token for them to pass.

    "Well if we don't then we need to come up with a way to get round this. Any ideas?"

    "They don't look the type to take a bribe."
