On the way, Alura will look out for some of the Orphans of Sasserine and finding one will ask them to contact Dodger and pass her notes on the brother's name, appearance and possible activities and ask her to gather information for Alura on where he might be and what he might be up to.

It is my figuring that it is more important to have a spell to cast that might cure 2-9 as opposed to using the spell to heal 2 points only.

While searching and not finding the key to opening the passage, Chira pauses near the hypothetical door, her bat ears swiveling slowly as she listens.
"Three someones... not sure of the language, and possibly others who are not speaking. They may also be aware of us, so be cautious!"
The bat woman remounts her wolf and prepares.

Val reloads again tearing the paper, pouring the powder, tamping and loading. She shouts, "Bahruce! Stop drenching yourself with acid while you are standing on my rugs!" This time when the gun fires the zing is more internal after piercing an outer layer of armor.

Alura looks at the papers, but unless they are in Aquan, Draconic or Sylvan, she is unable to say what they could be, "Lets find out who else has visited this place, that may tell us where the money went."

Chira sighs, shakes her head and dismounts slowly searching the corridor near the secret door for the door itself and it's triggering device. -
Val reloads, once again tearing a paper bullet with her teeth, pouring the powder down the barrel, tamping it and dropping in the lead ball. Aiming at the robot past Vri she shouts, "Sorry for the noise..." The report is deafening in the enclosed space the bullet however zings off the thing's metallic carapace.

I healed my last point overnight, thought I had asked if anyone else required healing? Did I lose that post? Did anyone have significant damage above 1 or 2 points?

Slammed into the wall, Val is dazed a moment; then fumbling she pulls out her pistol and tears a paper bullet with her teeth, pouring the powder down the barrel, tamping it and dropping in the lead ball. The young woman's motions are as practiced and mechanical as anything the robot is doing. Lifting the barrel as she pulls back on the hammer she points the gun at the robot, a little shaky now, "This is my house you piece of junk. Nobody pushes me around here who isn't family!"The gun's report is loud in the hallway as she fires and then pushes herself and Violet away from the automaton.

Val nods thoughtfully, "Tell the others to join me in the house when they've dropped off their stuff."
Val turns to the house and opens the front door. "This is the house where I grew up, Violet... along with Domino, of course."

Val pats Violet's arm entwined with hers, "Let's just follow along, I know it's a lot to get used to, but Matuq is good people."Val and Violet follow behind Matuq, approaching the Tavern's side door. "Matuq, have their been any changes in town leadership in the face of the current crisis?"

Val nods, "Okay, the Tavern is currently closed, but everybody feel to set up their stuff in the common room. We'll use the Tavern as home base until we sort everything out here. I'll be staying in my room in the back house. Anyone who wants to use the kitchen to whip something up is fine, we might have some perishables left in the cold box, or not. Once we are set, let's go see the council."

Val smiles at Matuq eyeing him in a speculative way as though not having considered certain thoughts before, "It's good to see you, but it seems we've got some serious problems in Torch and nobody doing much to correct them."
Val sighs, "We need to find my dad, but before then we have to get some other things going to keep illness from claiming the town. Matuq, do we think we could hire some teamsters to haul garbage from here out into the surrounding countryside. We can use the Tavern as a place for people to bring their stuff. We need to pull out some of the emptied barrels. T'sarah, could you fill those with clean water. We can offer it to people for free for bringing their garbage to be disposed of. Maybe we can post a couple of guards at Crowfeather to tell people to bring their waste here instead."
The young investigator looks thoughtful, "Matuq, do you know if my father left any money in the strongboxes for us to work with?"
