  1. With their opponent pushed back for the moment, Farhvan chose to fire prone. Still, with the false images the thing was throwing up, targeting was going to be tricky. Of course when all else failed, sending enough projectiles down range would do the trick eventually. Focusing on the handgun, Farhvan activated it's accelerating properties, firing two shots with preternatural swiftness. The first shot shattered one of the fictitious golems as did the second. Actions Move: remaining prone Standard: Time warp to fire 2 shots at golem. Attack 1 Mirror image-success on 1 Piercing damage Attack 2 Attack 2 Mirror image-success on 1 Piercing damage
  2. How would you like us to do the miss chance associated with Mirror Images? I'm not sure if we can roll 1d9 (8 images + 1 real) or we could do a d100 with 1-11 being a hit on the real golem. Also does activating the magical properties of the magitech require anything from techno folk or is it sufficiently blended to be roughly analogous to activating technological capabilities?
  3. Farhvan tried to keep his footing from the sudden grease. Fortunately the borrowed armor had excellent protections built into it and kept him insulated from the flames. Actions
  4. Farhvan kept some distance between himself and the activation rune as Ozen did his thing. Of course, despite the warning, the golem's appearance was still a bit of a shock. He gave Ozen a nod in response to the mental orders and skipped back a few paces as he leveled his borrowed revolver. With the majority of his biotic aura caught up in maintaining his barrier shield, the gun was his best form of offense. He did his best to spread out from the others. "I think our team leader has got that bit covered," he replied audibly as well for Prax's benefit. Presumably the lack of talking was to keep things clando, but he wasn't going to be louder than the report of the borrowed firearm. Actions Free: draw revolver as part of move action Move: 20ft away from Farhvan's starting position ( a few meters back from Ozen) Firing Revolver Piercing damage
  5. As soon as they got the go ahead, a biotic aura flared around Farhvan and he sighed audibly. "That takes at least some of the edge off of not having my usual gear." He bounced from foot to foot as if testing the weight. "Still, not exactly ideal though." The biotic aura around him was less refined than normal, but did a decent enough job replicating the shields his armor usually granted, albeit with much less potency. In any case, Farhvan moved with more confidence and his steps seemed to be muted somewhat as well.
  6. Farhvan kept his head down and did his best to avoid notice as their team exited the camp. In truth he found being in the midst of psionic individuals was intriguing. If this little favor for the captain hadn't turned into a extremely lethal proposition, he might have taken the time for a more academic approach. That was before getting into his enhancements shutting down. Even given his prolong treatment, he'd never felt quite this sluggish and out of form. The sooner they could get back to the rational part of the planet the better. Still, perhaps he'd have a chance for more direct observation of Ozen's abilities. With his normal armor being a non-starter, Farhvan had to borrow a set from the army camp. He also grabbed a sidearm that more or less had the feel of his M77, despite being an archaic design. With his tech, and more importantly Omni-tool, being either left behind or powered off, he was going to have to rely on his Biotics more than ever. That was before getting into his enhancements shutting down. Even given his prolong treatment, he'd never felt quite this sluggish and out of form. The sooner they could get back to the rational part of the planet the better. He smiled slightly as his presence on a mindshatter team wasn't necessarily as false as it would seem. He did have an assortment of more or less normal meds that should still work as well, but for now he was biding his time until he Ozen could get them away from the others and he could wrap himself in the strongest Biotic fields he could manage.
  7. AC: 16 (TAC: 12/ Then FF: 14)| HP: 45/45 Force Ward: 5/5|Mind Burn: 0| Junbaari loosed a good natured groan as Luna mentioned the heat being a struggle for a native animal of Masero. "Well at least I can attempt to warm my heart with the prospect of seeing such creatures. Will be a splendid distraction from slowly freezing to death. " He shook his head in mock despondency. "Still," his demeanor became more serious as he considered the situation. "It seems that we should try to keep our stays as brief as possible to avoid trouble with the locals or buying means of dealing with the weather if denied shelter." The thought soured the taste of the ale in his mouth, but while he could touch the emotions of others, changing their hearts was beyond him. Still, he'd do his best to smooth things when possible. He nodded at Medraut as well. "I haven't forgotten your concerns either, though a trip to Tarsus might be a chance for you, or some of us on your behalf, to consult with your mentor about what he knows." In truth he suspected the man might know other things of interest to him. Actions/ Mechanics
  8. Well the listed equipment was just armor and weapons and armor would presumably help. Though I don't know if the default mindshatter outfit has defensive stats? I also wanted to know what IC knowledge they were privy to between scenes since "the captain needs your help at a location, don't draw attention oh and bring a hazard suit" was the extent of what Ozen said. Didn't want to assume more knowledge of it was supposed to be a caught off guard situation.
  9. So how much information about what is going on do the fake mindshatters get? Also is there a potentially fatal reason the Nanoblade rifle isn't recommended? Given the choices it's what Farhvan would likely pick (since he isn't proficient with the plasma repeater and it's the next most technological weapon option but if for some reason it's useless he'd obviously not do that.
  10. So for those coming in from the Vault, what equipment, if any, would have been available to request? And does the standard black clothing offer any Defensive benefits?
  11. I'm guessing this is a situation where tech based stat boosters from the Station no longer work?
  12. Onryo had spent the last few months with a satisfying mix of training and getting to know the people of Earth. Though outwardly aloof as ever, Frostbyte's offer of staying at her 'fiefdom' had been more than the aspiring Kai could have asked for. It helped that being used to the Frost demon's appearance, the village folk took his presence among them well in stride. Like the tomes he had delved into as part of his learning in Other World, he preferred a deep dive into a narrow subject as opposed to a broad summary and so he chose to mostly stay in the surrounding countryside as opposed to jetting about the entire planet. Of course the knowledge that he had yet to win a tournament, despite his advantages, meant that he couldn't afford the time it would take to fully indulge in a world tour. He intended to make sure that his power was enough to both truly test this worlds greatest fighters as well as aid in the coming perils. To that end, both Master Guron and Frostbyte, with her powerful second form, were all to willing to oblige in his training. It was to such a degree that even despite his earnestness he was glad of the momentary reprieve attending the East City tournament. While he fully intended to explore the city over the course of their stay, Onryo made sure to arrive at the temple as soon as possible to check in with the others. Even if most of them wouldn't be fighting, it was a valuable opportunity to gauge how they were all doing. Clad in his meticulously maintained Kai attire as opposed to his Sho-Kune fighting uniform, he raised a hand in greeting as he spotted Selki. "Ah Selki! Properly provisioned for the coming tournament I see," he said, smiling as he noted the large beverage. "I hope that you've been well since we last saw each other?" As always, he kept an even and somewhat formal tone, though his smile was genuine.
  13. I *think* that was back before we knew what was up with Zora, wanted to collaborate on figuring that out but we got that sorted.
  14. Farhvan resisted his station-rat instincts to avoid being grabbed as it was clear that this was part of the plan. Still he somewhat regretted the decision as they were warped to . . . wherever this place was. He stumbled for a moment adjusting to both the discomfort and the disorientation. After coming back to his senses, he whispered back to Ozen, "how clando are we here? Is it going to cause an incident if someone notices a biotic aura around me?" He'd gone awhile without using biotics to enhance himself, but without his armor or his trusty M77, he wouldn't mind a bit of reassurance. OOC/Mechanics
  15. I had recalled there was something that increased the DC, but was hoping for better rolls lol. Just hoping to get distance since they're tough enough that swapping full attacks at 2 v 1 would be bad.
  16. <<Well, you could have started with that stipulation. Still, I should be alright as long as the plan isn't assaulting a garrison or something. I have a few new biotic tricks up my sleeve, but it'll be a pain not having my armor. I'll see about securing appropriate hazard suits >> OOC/Mechanics
  17. AC: 28(30 vs Fiends) | HP: 121/136 THP: 8 NL Damage: 80 | Burn:10 || Elemental Overflow: 2/+4 (+2 Con|+2 Dex) While his armor's holy enchantment and the blessing from his guardian archon helped ward off some of the foul creatures raking claws, the infernal chill which followed each blow added up. Had he not pushed his body to it's limits, even that would have been manageable, but worn thin as he was it was a dire threat. "One of the shadows is in front of this position, but I will deal with the Babau," He called back to Sunna, without turning his head. Dealing with the more exotic fiends was her specialty after all, he'd deal with the straggler and hopefully aid in wearing the shadow demon down. Drawing on more of his inner strength, he forged another powerful windhammer, shifted his position to make room for Sunna, and struck out with enhanced speed and power at the last Babau. The first blow felled the beast but while he tried to follow up against the Shadow Demon, his surprise through his blows wide of where he judged the fiend to be. Ever valiant, the wounded archon did it's duty, reaching out and blessing Denrag once more, guarding him against harm. 18. AC: 16 (TAC: 12/ Then FF: 14)| HP: 45/45 Force Ward: 5/5|Mind Burn: 0| Junbaari took his time with his own beverage, savoring the local brew and the liveliness of the Windy Pig in contrast to the temple. The presumed search and rescue had certainly taken a turn and now he felt that the group was teetering on the brink of momentous events. "Well then," he said as he set down his mug after a sip, "I presume we still intend to track down Khevlar and Galadriel's former associates? Given the traveling that entails, even if we use the Gate, we'll need a goodly amount in the way of supplies. " He shifted his focus to Davin, "You mentioned knowing of a simple job while we were down in the temple, correct? I have a bit of money saved but I'm sure we'd all appreciate getting more before we gear up for braving Masero's weather." The jungle native gave an involuntary shudder as he visualized the frigid landscape. "Assuming that's still where we intend to start? After getting supplies from Tarsis." Actions/ Mechanics
  19. While he certainly had enjoyed some time away from the vampiric captain, Farhvan wasn't going to avoid a meeting that seemed genuinely helpful. <<I'll meet with the old badah, sure. It would be good to know what he's been up to in the background all this time. >> OOC/Mechanics
