  1. Brother Christo Vanleaf, Grey Elf Bard-Cleric

    spacer.pngQUICK STATS:  AC=19, Touch=14, FF=17 / HP=19/19 / Init=2 / Saves: Fort=4, Reflex=5, Will = 6  _____________________________________________________________________________

Even though Brother Vanleaf was relieved and grateful to the gods that the battle was both successful and quick, however the Elven holy man had a strange feeling when the massive warriors and presumably a powerful Shaman were dispatched so easily.

Moving to gather his arrow that missed the target, Christo pauses next to Sugrin and whispers, "Seemed kind of almost too easy? I'm not sure that anything is even amiss, but it sure feels 'off' in some way. Are you sensing anything or any nearby earth movements?"

Once the arrow is retrieved and stowed in his quiver, the minister will help to search the room for valuables and secrets, while also keeping one eye and his ears focused on the surrounding area watching and listening for the sight or sound of movement or anything unusual nearby.

After all of the members of the Scarab Company safely make it through the hidden door leading to the lair of the SIlver Chains, Raze will ensure that the portal can be opened from this side before carefully closing the secret door so it can't easily be found.

Thereafter, Raze maks the exact spot of the hidden portal on the party's map of the Necropolis and then uses a piece of chalk to make a pair of tiny nearly invisible marks on the wall at floor level, with both marks being exactly forty paces on each side of the secret door.

Quickly realizing the broken parts are likely one of the compasses as referenced on the map, Raisin instead searches the basement chamber for any other secrets.  However, once the group is ready to move along, the Tiefling whispers, "Best to try and be quiet until we are discovered."

"I'll go and check out the pathway from here and then either wave you forward, have you hold or will retreat back to this position," the burglar adds before silently moving forward, staying in the shadows with her bow in hand, watching and listening for the sight or sound of movement or anything unusual in the immediate area with her dark vision and keen Tiefling hearing.

After casting his only helpful spell moments ago ableit with only limited success, Brother Vanleaf moves forward into the room toward the Orcs with his bow already in hand.

Drawing his bow string taunt, the Elven holy man launches a razor-sharp arrow at the Orc Witch from point blank range in an effort to interrupt her machinations.

After the horn signals are arranged, Ulfgrim Ironhide silently nods when Vilrun announces that she will accompany the landing party to shore as he had no wish to interfere with a witch and her machinations.

The huge Barbarian further nods his approval when Grey-Feather states that he too will go ashore, but is surprised when the stranger from the West unexpectedly jumps into the choppy lagoon to swim in.

However, Ulfgrim is completely shocked when Grey-Feather seems to magically transform into some kind of man-sea-creature which allows the newcomer to traverse the rough waves as easily as his owl navigates the sky.

So, it would seem that some of our entourage have more abilities than readily apparent when first met, the hulking warrior thinks quietly to himself as he joins Hjarlof in the white rowboat.

After years of trial and error in his younger days, Ulfgrim choses to sit in the middle of the craft so the Barbarian's great weight is evenly distributed and won't negatively affect the small skiff, which will also allow the warrior to fire his bow should the situation expectedly take a turn for the worse!

I don't know anything about elegiac compasses, so going to let others post first.

Then Camlann can switch to his Vigour aura next round and start healing himself and Gwen.

Keep the Acid Defense up and get rid of the Zombies.

Gwen is fully healed. All I needed was the relevant information to know what assets to use.

I've got Camlann covered as well, with spell or CLW wand which is in hand! 😀

  6. Father Wilwick Bramblemane, Halfling Cleric

    spacer.pngQUICK STATS:  AC=18, Touch=12, FF=18 / HP= 8/13 / Init=0 / Saves: Fort=6, Reflex=2, Will = 7  ________________________________________________________________________

When both Gwen and Camlann are simultaneously hit by zombies, Father Bramblemane quickly evaluates each individual's wounds, their ability to avoid or resist more damage, as well as their overall health.

Reaching out, the diminutive holy man lightly touches Gwen's wounds while praying out loud, "I beseech the gods to heal this brave, worthy individual," which causes a light blue glow to briefly envelope the lass's injuries, completely closing all of her wounds as if they never happened when the healing energy dissipates.

Seeing more zombies fall and their numbers dwindle, Wilwick calls out, "Have faith, the abominations have nearly been vanquished. Keep up the onslaught. Don't worry about healing, Gwen if fully recovered. I've got it covered," the small Halfling cleric calls out with a sincere smile!

  7. I'm thinking she is down, but with two people on the front lines and both injured, it's important to have the exact details so I can ration out my meager bits of healing magic logically and hopefully keep everyone up alive and well. 😀

Since Ulfgrim did not often talk about himself or his family to others outside the tribe, thus the large barbarian was one of the last ones to tell his tale and had instead sat and listened to the stories of others in the Clan entourage.

Finally speaking up in a deep voice, the warrior says, "As you know, my name is Ulfgrim Ironhide. I'm the fourth eldest and youngest son of Ulrick Ironhide.  I also have a step-mother and three sisters, two of them older and one younger than me."

Continuing, the huge man adds in a sincere tone, "Even though I'm trained in carpentry, the past several years I have been on the road making my fortune mostly as a sell-sword participating in the southern raids and also as a caravan guard until I was called to this quest."

Pausing for a few moments to collect his thoughts, Ulfgrim matter-of-factly states, "Unlike some here, I'm not famous by any sense of the word.  However, I earned my place among the warriors of the Hvítabiôrning Clan by destroying the 'Lion of Satte,' an over-sized wildcat that was a plague to man and beast near my home in the north."

"However, when the call came from my Jarl requesting assistance in this matter, I came forward without hesitation as an honor to my family, in representation my tribe and to support our Clan in this dangerous, yet noble deed."  Apparently, with nothing more to add, Ulfgrim falls silent once more as he continues to sharpen the edges of his blades with a well-worn whetstone.

  9. Before the most recent attack, is Gwen at full health as shown on the posts? 18/18?

I'm curious since I think that she was hit earlier in the combat.

Since I don't know who has what temporary hit points, or DR, or regeneration, or other things that affect the PC's hit points, the only way I know the hit point count for any individual PC is based on what's posted.

Raze had used the short time off to do a bit of shopping in the town, accompanied by her friends lest there be trouble between the locals and the Tiefling, whom some viewed her as abstractly demonic in nature.

Following a purchase of a handful of fancy potions and oils, Raisin and her companions head to the fletcher to pick out a plethora of unique arrows which she can carry now that the rogue has a new extra-dimensional pack.

After refilling her fancy potion belt and quiver with some new items, the rogue carefully packs the rest of her equipment, potions, items and weapons into her haversack in preparation for the Necromancer hunt on the morrow and gets a well-deserved good night's sleep.

Rising early the next day, Raisin reunites with her colleagues and listens carefully as preliminary plans are discussed in connection with the new mission from the Temple. Throwing her two coppers into the conversation, the Tiefling burglar adds, "Agreed, we should use the secret tunnel to maintain our stealth for as long as possible to postpone the enemy from learning that we are coming for them."

Ok, I will reduce my points back to three. I thought we got a hero point each time we leveled according the Pathfinder SRD.

I guess I need to use them more if replacement is the main way to get new points.

Anyone that had less than 3 hero pts received another hero point.

Each character begins play with 1 hero point, regardless of her level. In addition, whenever a character gains a level, she earns an additional hero point.  SRD

Is the hero point awarded for having less than 3 points is in addition to the normal hero point we get each level up?

    1. Is Raze spending FCB on HP? I'm getting 33 hp without FCB

    8hp (level 1) + 20 hp (level 2 to 5) +5 hp (con) = 33 - YES

    2. Was a feat selected for level 5? - NO

Selected the Tail Feat you recommended.

Racanna had already started to tremble. The potion from Shade that had been in her hand, tumbled to the floor and the bottle rolled across the floor. She shook and her eyes went wide as the memory of the attack played back through her mind like it was happening all over again.

Relieved when Rodin is up and back at it, and also when he and the newcomers all know each other, Jessie relaxes her attention on the strangers and instead focuses on the entrance to the oak tree room and beyond as she sit watch atop the boulder near the doorway.

The tiny rogue will sit and listen while the newcomer Elves and her colleagues talk about the local situation, meanwhile Jessie keeps her eyes and ears focused on the surrounding environment watching and listening for the sight or sound of movement or anything unusual.

With her belly full and cloak pulled up tight, Jessie stands guard duty during the cold night until relieved, at which point the Halfling retires to the small fire and falls asleep using her pack as a pillow and snuggled warm under her cloak like it was a blanket.

Jessie Tosscobble III's AppearanceJessie is small standing at 2 foot 8 inches and weighing a mere 27 pounds. As such, the lass intentionally keeps her brown hair long to cover her halfling features, which allows the rogue to pass herself off as a small humanoid or even young human or half-elven child when convenient or necessary.

Dressed dark purple clothing, which is overlaid with attractive black leather accoutrements, Jessie keeps the paraphernalia of her 'profession' secreted upon her person, and especially the authorities, except when in use.

Her friendly blue eyes and warm, sincere smile are disarming and allow the lass to paint a picture of a young girl who is completely unintimidating by all appearances, an assumption often made by others which suits her well and which she actively cultivates.

To promote this look of youth or innocence, most of Jessie's weapons, alchemical doodads, pack, and other equipment are kept hidden under her clothing and also by her large heavy dark green cloak.

Sister Elektra had sat and listened to the others speak, as well as her colleagues assent to helping the noble house in their war against powerful forces at play in the city, seemingly without much information as to the nature of the foes.

What was supposed to be a simple sale of a piece of artwork had suddenly turned into a life-or-death situation, where the losers would likely be better off turned to dust than face their true fates for such a failure, since just assisting House McClare was the equivalent of a death sentence.

Nodding her assent without speaking when her colleagues commit to jumping from the frying pan into the fire, the Dwarven holy woman asks a logical question, "I realize this is a sensitive topic, but if we are to help, then we should know all we can about the creatures who assaulted you in order to try and change the result during the next encounter."

After the Zombies up front both swing and miss, Father Bramblemane jumps into action.

Unfortunately, a sling shot would be very difficult to complete in light of the Halfling's height and the fact that Wilwick is in the second ranks of the party. Thus, he would have also fire into active combat, which is a skill he has yet to master.

Furthermore, the diminutive padre's spells and prayers have either been used for the day or are simply ineffective or insufficient to utilize against undead.

Slightly frustrated by his lack of options, Wilwick stows his sling and draws a crooked willow wand in preparation to bolster the health of the front ranks in the coming moments.
