Appearance
Thorgill is a large, muscular man, standing 6'6 and weighing 250 pounds, with a long scar down his right cheek, and another just above his left eye, not to mention the numerous scars from sword and axe blades crisscrossing his torso and arms. Strangely, his scars seem to make him appear more attractive rather than less. His long, blond hair that falls to his shoulders is typically tied back in a knot, as is his long beard that is braided down to his chest, and his bright blue eyes alternate showing joy outside of combat and ferocity in a fight. His typical attire consists of brown linen clothing, with heavy, magical banded mail (+2), in which he moves with surprising ease from long practice and training. A vast array of weapons can be found on his person, from a massive +3 two-handed sword strapped to his back, a longsword sheathed at his side, a dagger tucked into each side of his belt, and a number of javelins tucked into the loops on the side of his pack (not to mention the shield strapped to the outside of his pack for quick access if his two-hander isn't available).

Background
Thorgill grew up with a local barbarian tribe about 1-2 days hike outside of Water Deep, and was the strongest fighter in his tribe before setting off on his own to seek adventure. He served as a mercenary with some roving groups, most notably The Steadfast Guardians, where he was kicked out for alledgedly stealing a woman from a fellow mercenary after a raid (the actual truth was he was stopping the merc from raping the poor girl because she looked like his younger sister), and wandered the Realms for a while before meeting up with the current crew.
