They march through the forest, making their way to the mouth of the cave when Maso, the largest amongst the Trio, lets out a roar of pain and surprise! Above him a humanoid completes a flip, moving the stick it’s holding from Maso’s brow as it bleeds profusely. When it lands, it looks like a he. “Does anyone know what that is?” It’s a small humanoid, about 4 feet high with light grass growing instead of fur. It has an elongated snout, like a monkey. “No, never seen anything like that before…” ”Hello. No need to attack, we come in peace. We’re looking for something, The Cape of Stars. Do you know of it?” Maso asks. He speaks as if talking to a dog, in the hopes it will lead him somewhere. He crouches, keeping his hands open , and trying to bring his eyes to eye level of the creature. Lypera circles around, placing himself between his friends and the monter, tin gladius and shield, up and ready. Next Will the Eliko respond kindly or attack again. I know the Eloko recklessly attacks the biggest guy (Maso). Trio The Eloko surges forward, closing the distance between the groups in a flash, attacking again, Maso, with his stick. Grunts and clicks sounding like some strange assortment of words leave the figures mouth as it charges. Lypera steps between the aggressor and the Apeman as it charges, taking the blow, and Counter attacking. Maso unleashes pellets from Bringr and Stingr as the creature recoils from Lypera’s blow. Khulna, who realizes this thing is strong up close, takes a second then clasps his hands together, rubbing vigorously, and creating friction.As he pulls them apart flames spew forth to cover his body. Trio The stick of the creature bounces off of the shield of Lypera, even as he counters with a thrust of the Gladius to counter. Lypera rolls with the powerful blow as his blade sinks into the side of the creature, and it’s dark red blood leaks out from it. Maso steps back, but while doing so fires both rounds of Bringr and Stingr into the creature. Two bloody holes appear on it, one on the ches and another in the thigh. The fire in Khulna’s hand whips up and around. Instead of burning him, it holds him in a warm and protective embrace. Now protected he steps forward to do battle with the creature and his quarterstaff. Maso fails, Khulna fails Trio The creature leaps to it’s feet then into the sky. He brings his staff crashing down onto Lypera who just manages to parry the blow with his shield and side step. The shield crumbles off of his wrist and forearm, leaving it bare and exposed. A red welt from the staff already begins to rise. Lypera stps forward to meet it with his gladius, feinting a slash, but truly moving in with a thrust, once more perforating the creature. As it moves off the blade, it dodgers back quickly, dodging fire from Maso’s twin guns and Khulna’s staff Next Fight - Round 3 I just gave up Lypera’s shield for the critical attack. It’ll make parrying and defense that much harder.
