Though Rolly-Polly- are bred specifacly for meat. They are juicier and cheaper to raise. Mount Spider-Crabs-Herbivore Spiders, whjch based irl-https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagheera_kiplingi and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_spider_crab their size is big enough for woodland animals to ride https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d1/Japanese_spider_crab.jpg There are riding Spider-Crabs who were are lighter and bred for riding. (duh) and carriage crab-spiders, heavy and strong. Their stables are complicated shady caverns. Unique coinage- Most trade is done in bartering. How ever coins are convient, and backed by powerful factions, and made by the banks. How ever, using coins backed a faction in a clearing that isnt controled by them can be a bit tricky. Right now, at the setting there are the "Talons" of the Eyerie, "Crowns", by the Marquisate. (though they are nicknamed "paws". The Clamshells that are used by the Riverfolk company are recongnized everywhere. Also, ancient coins were made fron pure gold, and are respected everywhere. The 'hatch" is reffering to The Roc King foundation of the Eyrie and the clearing Roc Roost. Now the year is 999 AH. The Marquisate has invaded about a decade ago. Sort of Halloween/New year/Christmas holiday. There are many holidays in the Woodland, some are more local, some are more global, but the Ghost Five are celebrated everywhere. Maybe we'll add in holidays as we stumble upon them.
