Operatives

The Egocrashers

The Egocrashers are, by their own description, "an underworld organization with a diversified portfolio of skills seeking to elevate transhumanity to its next stage of existence by breaking its shackles." They are somewhat vague on the specifics, but they pay very well. They specialize in theft, espionage/surveillance, and smuggling operations, and often deal with TITAN artifacts.

The organization is managed by a series of Bosses, who manage a collection of Permanent and Freelance Operatives and coordinate missions. Their ulterior motives are not clear, but some Senior Operatives have some inkling. Most operatives, of all stripes, deal with two of the bosses, who assign missions and provide payment upon their successful completion. For most members of the Egocrashers, the organization is more of a job board than anything else. The lowest rung of the organization are Freelance Operatives, who are used on an ad-hoc basis until they prove their worth and begin to get regular assignments and larger bonuses.

Egocrasher Bosses

Ghost: Your primary point of contact with the Egocrasher leadership, Ghost generally appears in simulspace as Carmen Sandiego. She is responsible for coordinating your missions and supplying you with relevant data.

Spectre: Your secondary point of contact with the Egocrasher leadership, Spectre generally takes the form of a beefy drill sergeant in simulspace. He is responsible for arming you and supplying you with gear.

Wraith: Wraith is the organization's hacker and cybercrime specialist. He is rarely in direct contact with teams, but tends to take the form of a dragonfly in meatspace and simulspace. He is responsible for clearing the digital path to your goal.

Though never seen, there are at least two other bosses, Shadow and Nightmare, who have each been obliquely referenced by Ghost and Spectre. Their roles are unknown. There are also two former bosses no longer affiliated with the group: Phantom, who now works against them, and an unnamed seventh.
