Rosemary of Eldormere is a herbalist, who sailed into town on the Water Lily. Her old bones are looking for a proper house, made of stone. Her years on the water, with her floating apothecary, were hazardous and adventurous but Rosemary wants to leave the cold waters and have a nice warm house and a fireplace. This would also benefit Sergei, a 15 y.o. boy who came to live with her when he was 12 years old (see separate entry).

- Physical Description: (see image) not very tall, about 5'4", slender, gray hair, in her late 50s
- Personality/character: A keen observer, Rosemary learnt from a young age to grow & use herbs in salves, teas, ointments and the like to improve the health of those around her. Her mother was called Mary Hoffman and her father was Ando of Eldormere, skilled healer of the town of Eldormere where the nobility of the area came to spend the winter. The weather was not as foul as up north, with less snow and plenty of fish from a nearby harbor. Ando's skills provided the family with a good enough income and the occassional extra, paid by those who could easily afford it, were a welcome addition to the family coffers. Rosemary was the oldest child in the family. There were 2 sisters: Isabella Josephine, who married into nobility and never spoke to her family again after that, because she was too good for them after the wedding. Rosemary has never seen Isabella again. If she is still alive, Isabella must be around 52 now. And there was Elisabeth Sandrine, who is an equally skilled herbalist. Rose and Liz still send pigeons with long letters to eachother. Elisabeth is 50 years old Lastly, there was brother Ando Gaetan of Eldormere, who - last Rose heard - had tried to join some army batallion but hasn't heard much more on that topic. Ando is 47 years old and not as mature as one would hope. For now, Rosemary has accepted that she is growing older and her gray hair (or rather wisdom highlights) are a sign she needs a better bed, a better house and firm ground underneath her feet, a good hearth and good pots & pans to cook in.

- Marriages, family setting and intrigues: Was once married to Thorkill of Gráfia, but he left her for a younger lady of better blood. Because she was without children (she knew of course how to not have those...) she regained her freedom after Thorkill told her to leave his manor. His loss, Rose never looked back, bought the Water Lily and sailed into the sunset.
