Not that I am not on board to deal with kobolds, but would it be better that we help the elves find their missing friend now instead of dealing with ants and kobolds that can wait till later? It seems that would be the more noble thing to do instead of dealing with non problems like kobolds, faerie, and ants.
I did not see the offer to help them come up IC. You could propose this, though per this post, Simimar and Lathai are headed back to Tangled Trees in the morning, as they do not believe there is more they can do, based on what limited information they have, to find their missing friend right now.

Quote
Morn has a look on his face like he's been working on a plan all morning. Finally, he speaks up. "You know, I wonder if we can lure the ants into a fight with the kobolds?" He gathers up the whitest dirt and sand he can find in his handkerchief. The brightness of the color is an important part of his plan. He leads the crew down to the lower level as close as they dare to the ants. He casts a spell--just a little prestidigitation spell, and the "bait" becomes (if one is to believe his claim) sticky-sweet flavored, and starting with a dried apple slice from his rations, he leaves a thin trail from the apple slice, around the den of the pond creature, up the stairs, and outside. It's a very thin trail--he has a lot of ground to cover. He also tries to work quickly, because the spell will only last and hour. He lays the bait all the way to the kobold den, and here is the dangerous part. He hands the remaining bait over to one of the heartier members of the crew to lay the bait right up to the opening in the wall that leads to the kobold's ambush point, with the rest of his dried apple slices. They don't have to go into the den--indeed they can just toss it in from as far away as they can manage. Will the ants be lured into this trap?
Just want to confirm, you're going to try and rush past the small pool the way you previously came to the ants? This may draw the attention and ire of the fey, you're aware, correct? You'll also need to go back past there again on your way back out if that's the route you're going with. Just want to confirm this is correct and who's going? All of you, or just Morn? Or any other combination?
Keep in mind you also know that you can get down into the caverns from the secret entrance and the sinkhole in the ruin. Aeruiel also uncovered what appears to be the top of the ant's hive, in the ruin, the other evening before the elf scouts got there.

Though he hears the others, Daurant seems entranced to some degree by the grand hall. Fearlessly, or carelessly, some might say, he walks into the hall, gazing about at the ancient carvings. When Vanleaf produces the small enchanted feather, he squints and grumbles but simply keeps his back to it. At the priest's warning, he sighs.
"Aye, aye... There always be danger in exploring, an caution be healthy, but one canna start seeing death in every shadow!
Se yer eyes on the grandeur and elegance of the stonework of my kin. A fine work, a tribute to the All-Father! And that door... This must ave been the entry hall. Da stair must delve into the main chambers below. Strange that buzzing and this ere metal grate being clogged from behind. Keeping something in this chamber mayhap..?"
Ignoring the faintly glowing enchanted figure, Daurant moves to examine the metal grate before moving to stare in awe at the door and raise an eyebrow at the skeletons around it.
"What ya make of all this mess Urd..? Intruders slain at the doors when the keep fell?"
As he awaits Urd's thoughts, he turns to focus his attention down the wide stair...

Group B
With everyone engage in close combat, Dolan hesitates again.
Baldin calls on the Morninglord to bolster him with his blessings. The armor of the cultist he'd targeted begins to appear reddish, searing the cultist within who shouts out in pain.
The cultists drops the potion in his hand, shattering it on the stone stairs, as Daltin slashes him open when he exposes his chest. Daltin then follows this by dropping another cultists the stair floor bleeding.
Taking a step forward Yohan smashes both mace and shield into the cultist just below him.
Beldas, steps into Yohan's previous position, taking up his flank at the top of the stair.
Another pair of dragon shaped bolts of dark energy slam into Daltin from below.
One of the cultists steps up the stair over his fallen companion's body to wrap around Yohan and attacks Daltin. The cultist before Yohan attacks the holy warrior. Both manage to draw blood. The cultist attacking Yohan even strikes a vital spot under his armor, but somehow, Yohan manages to evade the worst of it. The cultist, his armor clearly heating up quickly seems only slightly encouraged between grimces.
The scythe wielding cult caster steps up beside his cultists warrior and slashes at Yohan, drawing blood as the broad scythe slashes across the holy warrior's chest.
The dwarves, Bettargh included, let fly another volley of arrows at the cultists. Once sinks into the arm of the cultist afflicted with Baldin's supplication again! He seems rather weakened standing before Yohan.

Group A
The last standing skeletal orc, unperturbed by it's companions destruction, swings it's falchion and Finwe almost severing an artery and drawing blood. Had it been living it might be gleeful.
The holy hammer smashes into the last skeleton and shatters it with ease. it then vanishes as if it never were. Finwe completes another incantation and another small bead of flames hurls froth to bloom into a massive roar of flames as the webbing is engulfed and a wave of heat flows over Finwe and the other defenders. When the flames clear a breath later, the arcane webbing is no more and so are the zombies and cultists who were trapped within!
The two cultists below eye Finwe for a breath. One points a wand at him and utters a commend. A pair of dragon shaped bolts of dark energy fly swiftly towards him only to dissipate harmlessly as they collide with his warding and fizzle out. The cultist with the wand curses and both turn on their heels and run down away into darkness.

OK, apologies in advance if this offends anyone, that's not the intent, please don't take it the wrong way.
Now, that said, love the initiative and creativity, but planning things OOC does not move the story in PbP. I need you to take actions IC or very clearly state you're doing so. Personal recommendation, don't bother waiting until everyone approves, that takes forever. A couple of approvals should suffice (ideally a majority).
As such, if you plan to execute this ant to kobold plan, please post IC and be clear on what you're doing, the less I need to guess, the better.
As an aside, I don't think prestidigitation can actually create scents. It takes the 3rd level Major Image illusion to add scents to illusions. That said, I'll allow it for the 1 hour duration, but it can still only affect 1 pound of material, so you'll need to make that work. That's about a small bag of sugar...

Able to see well in pitch darkness thanks to his inherent nature, even if only in shades of grey, Daurant draws his second axe in his free hand and steps into the chamber, studying it superficially even as he focuses, silently calling on the All-Father's blessings to allows him to divine the presence of evil forces in the gloom ahead.
