Piper is only slightly disappointed that Wandile doesn't take the challenge. It was smart though and followed the rules of what he had to follow, so it was only right. She nods to herself and watches the other two, "Will the new challenger get to face the mighty champion?" , she pauses only for a moment as the question was answered. "There you have it one and all! The new challenger is denied! The champ need not bother! Wandile! Wandile! Wandile!", she chanted as she jumped up and down. She looked overly pleased as Wandile paid her credit. She cocks her head to the side and stares at Wandile for a moment, thinking about his question. She did not believe she was a good swimmer of any sort, so it was not hard to turn that down. That left the meat-pie eating contest and the riddles and rhymes. Eating a whole bunch of meat-pies had its allure and even though Piper actually wasn't that sure about her ability to answer riddles, it was still rather tempting. Why couldn't there be a performance contest? She wouldn't have any trouble deciding what to do then. "I wouldn't mind checking out the riddles and rhymes. You like pies? Maybe after checking the riddles and rhymes we can both eat some pies?" If she could convince Wandile to want to do the eating contest, then they both could enter and she would get to do both the things she was tempted to do. "I bet you could put a ton of pies away!"

Piper cheers and jumps as Wandile wins the first contest, "Easy peasy for my long armed muscled friend!", she beat on her drums excitedly.

Piper nods happily and replies, "Yes! You're the biggest, strongest one here!" , she says this without really looking at any others here and full of confidence. Before she knows it, her feet are on the ground, but for a moment it felt like she flew down from the bugbear's shoulders. Her heart raced, it was so exciting! For a moment the thought of Wandile holding her above his head with her eyes closed crossed her mind. Not right now. Maybe later. She hops to the goblin, "Oh! Oh! I will bet as well! All in on Wandile, no doubt! Why, just the other day I saw him pick up a whole horse like it was a baby!", she says hoping to put a bit of worry into the competitors and handing the goblin the 5sp.

The bugbear turned around and for a moment Piper thought their heart stopped. Her kind smile was frozen on her face. Once Wandile laughed, she laughed with him and felt her heart start again. Perched up on his shoulder, she was pleased to find out that she was right! She really could see everything from up here! She nods, "Oh, ok. No rhymes all the time. Do you not like them? It can be quite fun to try and figure out what word can sound like another, but be another word completely. Have you ever tried?" She gave Wandile's question some thought, "Riddles do sound like fun, but if you were going to wrestle, I do not wish for you to change were you were going to go because of me. Perhaps later? Hopefully they will still be riddling after the wrestling? I may not wrestle myself, but I can watch and cheer. Do you think there will be other things after those two we can check on as well today? How many things do you think one can do in a festival? I have never been to one before, it is all very exciting! Do you live here? Do they have these often? Oh! What is your name? So I can cheer it while you wrestle."

Piper had only arrived in Jigow a couple of days ago. She had heard it was bound for a festival, which made it a place of great interest. On her journey, she had been getting use to life with more color to it and more life than what she was use to. Rosohna, or at least the areas she was allowed wasn't particularly lively or colorful. It all just made her more excited, in which she channeled into her music. For now she played, but she did want to experience what a festival was. A furry humanoid waved at her, so tall! They weren't the only tall, furry humanoid she had seen of course. Oh to be on those shoulders! She could probably see everything! The thought process was all it took to move her from her current perch. She bows with a lively bounce and many twists of her bird like wrists to her current listeners. She does not stop playing, but starts skipping after Wandile.

Her colorful patched hood bobs along, sometimes off her head, then back over it, and off again. Her black feathers have a shine to them that shone how well cared for they are. Once she catches up to Wandile, she stops playing and grabs for the lowest thing she could manage to get his attention. The bugbear may as well looked like a mountain to the little five foot humanoid bird. "Hi! Hello there! Greetings! I am Piper, the ever talented bard! You waved at me and I decided to pay heed. Here I am, lucky you! I can play for you, I just ask for a better view?" , she looks up... so far up, with blue eyes that shine with hope.
