  1. Hi all, Just learned about Ironsworn and want to give it a try. I have been playing table top games on and off for about 30 years. I'm interested in many different type of games from your typical dungeon crawlers and such, all the way up to heavy narrative games. Though I'll admit I've not played as many narrative ones, moistly due to the people I've played with. I'm been on mythweavers for a few years now. I tend to post during the week though sometimes on weekends. I see most of the people looking for games right now are, like me, pretty open to any sort of game and vaults and vows is supposed to be close to D&D in style. So here are some idea from my D&D campaign slush pile for people to spark off of: Fantasy Breakout Kings or Suicide Squad: Basically a bunch of criminals that are forced together to capture and/or eliminate other criminals in exchange for a reduction in sentence A group of traveling bards/actors trying to make a living A hero/adventurer academy: children learning how to be heroes, understanding their individual talents and how these talents work within a group A pony express courier style game. Kinda like that old young riders show though less old west and more fantasy. Or maybe something closer to terry Pratchett's Going Postal
  2. Elora "Yes I'll come" Elora says "Four eyes is better than two." The toad braces herself to get ready to be picked up by Broom.
  3. Elora Elora tries to hide. OOC Under or behind the hutch if there is space otherwise she looks for or digs a hole in the ground beneath the grass.
  4. There is a spell that boosts Inspire courage in the spell compendium you should check out if you don't know about it yet. It's called Inspirational Boost.
  5. RE: Dart game I found some someone came up with for a dart mini game. look a little more fun than straight dex checks or attack rolls
  6. Kit An unassuming middle aged gnome dressed to blend in quietly enters the Purple Dolphin's main entrance. Seeing the crowd he decides to use his small size to his advantage and attempt to skip to the front of the officer line. He quickly and quietly makes his way to the Hadozee. When he does make it to Garth he introduces himself. "Hello, People call me Kit. That's K-I-T. My clan name is Cervantes" β€œAnd what skills might ye have that would suit a fine ship like the Swift Vengeance?” Garth asks "I've got a few skills that might be of use. I spent several years as a sailor and I've served a few ships. On my last one I was the cook, and I pride myself on making sure everyone gets fed properly. I have a decent skill at patching up injuries and as well as treating morale issues that sometimes come up. I'm stealthy and good at boarding ships and great at hampering and taking out mages." OOC about Stealth I don't see him as trying not be seen but rather acting like he should be where is his. I.e "You must not have seen me I am quite small". If he's spotted and someone calls him out he'll roll with it and not try to push his luck further.
  7. I have been getting in my own way a bit. I think the character is done I just need to do some book keeping and review everything to make sure i didn't mess up my feat prerequisites as I've adjusted my skills several times I can start posting in the ic probably Monday when I have some free time
  8. Elora "Maybe to put more meat on your bones" Elora says at the caged rabbits words
  9. um you can get 10 ranks in climb, if it's a class skill (or you take the skill knowledge feat to make it one), by level 7. Since we are level 9 to start you can get up to 12 ranks. If it were pathfinder you'd have to wait till 10th level
  10. I think he's using a 2x2 table with the picture completely occupying the top right cell. You can click on the three dots in the top right of the post to access the clone option and post it to a thread you can modify and then view the source.

  12. Status: "Mostly done just a few book keeping clean up steps to do." Basics Name: Gender: male Race: Varshad Whisper Gnome Class(es): Spell Thief/Swashbuckler Alignment: Chaotic good Role: Melee Striker, backup range and in a pinch support or healing. I guess like a bard without the singing. Office: Chaplain(Morale officer and cook). Could do Doctor, Boatswain, Quartermaster, or Master at Arms Appearance Kit gives off an eerie, grumpy, don't bother me sort of impression when he's alone, on the battlefield or among strangers. However when among those close to him the gruff face melts and becomes more warm and welcoming. He is well kempt but he dresses modestly to not stand out. Personality Curt and to the point to those not close to him. Quiet and reserved to those that are, ready to listen and not be a burden. However he can get quite chatty about things he's interested in. Things like philosophy, cooking, medicine, psychology, taking things apart. He dislikes disingenuous people, frogs and toads. He has moderate Trypophobia which is one the reasons he left his mountainous birth place of Varshad. Background Early in his adulthood, Kit left his home town in Varshad. He found he disliked the underground and as a boy he had been drawn in by stories from travelers and merchants who had visited where he grew up. Especially tales of the open sea. Water and sky as far as the eye could see. He wanted to experience it and once he did he found he enjoyed the surface world much more than the underground. One thing Kit didn't expect was the vast differences in food every where he went. He began collecting recipes and found he was able to open up and talk to people better when the food was well prepared. He is always on the look out for new culinary experiences. In fact the reason he ended up in Ostmouth is due to hearing about an interesting dish in a neighboring town. He's just returned to the port looking for more work when he heard of the recruiting for the Swift Vengeance. As is custom with his people, names are typically temporary. Kit is what a previous captain had called him due to the gnome's breadth of skills. He's used it a few types during his life.
