  1. Kyros wonders if Garion is talking to themself, but hearing Drasil, decides the elf must be right. It's Garion's ghostly ancestors again. Still, they seem to be helping, so who is he to criticize. Returning his focus to the battle, there isn't much Kyros can do about the hag fleeing into the tree room. Instead, he turns to the nearest target. Dancing into a flank with Kajimara, he strikes. 1. Vexing Tumble to close. Acrobatics 2. Attack magenta with the flank and panache To hit damage 3. 2. Kyros quickly finds he is not only flanking with Drasil, his usual ally on the battlefield, but also Hamarr. He gives the dwarf a salute, then draws further on his draconic magic to make sure his next strike is a telling blow. 1. Cast True Strike, aka Sure Strike 2. Attack Purple with confident finisher, the flank, and rolling twice to take the better. To Hit One To Hit Two damage 3. 3. Kyros is able to resist the hag's influence only barely, but it gets a lot easier when Nalah takes her out. He nods to the newest Bravo, then rushes across the room to set up a flank for Drasil. 1. Stride 2. Vexing Tumble Acrobatics 3. 6. With the hag now far away, and the burning horse baring the path, Kyros reassesses. Calling on his draconic claws, he dances out of the side room and attacks the horse. 1. Cast Draconic Claws 2. Vexing Tumble Acrobatics 3. Dragon claw strike with panache on nightmare To Hit Damage Kyros | Swashbuckler 9 | AC 27, Fire Resistance 5 | HP 123 | Percep +14 | F +14 R +19 W +14 | SPD 30 ft. 7. If there's a way to get an AoO as a Swashbuckler, I'd love to know it. Sadly, Kyros doesn't have that ability.
  8. Feeling bad now that he suggested diplomacy only for it to be immediately blow up in their faces, Kyros reaches out with his draconic magic and for a second time seems to stop. Rushing across the battlefield, he gets past Nalah and Hamar, past the nightmare, and just as time picks back up he closes with the hag. Dancing around the woman, he does his best to get behind her, then strikes. 1. Cast and move 60 ft 2. Vexing Tumble another 15 to get past the hag Acrobatics 3. Claw strike with confident finisher on the hag To hit damage Kyros | Swashbuckler 9 | AC 27, Fire Resistance 5 | HP 123 | Percep +14 | F +14 R +19 W +14 | SPD 30 ft. (45 w/ panache) | Focus 1/1
  9. Kyros nods, ready for action as well. However, he says "Hags are monsters, but you can speak with them, right? Might be worth at least trying to talk. It worked with that dragon back in the jungle." Kyros | Swashbuckler 9 | AC 27, Fire Resistance 5 | HP 123 | Percep +14 | F +14 R +19 W +14 | SPD 30 ft. (45 w/ panache) | Focus 1/1
  10. Kyros is in no hurry to get close to the tree again. Hearing Nalah he asks "What about that stone on the hag's necklace. Was that a dreamstone thing?" Kyros | Swashbuckler 9 | AC 27, Fire Resistance 5 | HP 123 | Percep +14 | F +14 R +19 W +14 | SPD 30 ft. (45 w/ panache) | Focus 1/1
  11. Turning his attention back to the tree, Kyros replies to Nalah "Um, yeah. It might. Unless we got a way to cut it down real fast, might just be best to leave it alone."
  12. Oh. I wondered if that check wasn't supposed to be Kuz'Arak. Oh well, nice opportunity to reveal something I've been sitting on for Kyros and the wargs for awhile now.
  13. As the warg goes crazy on the tree it becomes clear that Kyros hasn't just been avoiding Bul'ro and his sister, he's actively afraid of the big wolves. The tiefling never had good experiences with animals back on the ranch, and has maintained a cautious distance from the warg pups, never sure whether to treat them as particularly violent children or overly clever monsters. Swallowing back his fear, he calls out "Whoa there Miss Kajimara! No need to keep fighting. Tree's gone asleep now. It's, ah, more tree like. Less womping, more holding still, so to speak." Diplomacy (-4 for not speaking Goblin already applied) Hero Point reroll Diplomacy:1d20+10
  14. Kyros, finally able to really get to work on the thing, tries to shut down the animating force behind the tree. Even as he does so he realizes Nalah is right. This isn't a hazard that can follow them. So he backs off. Thievery
  15. Reacting to the danger, Kyros rushes into the room only to see the tree gather up Garion. He does his best to free the gnome. Thievery
  16. Kyros nods to Garion, happy for the gnome to use the ring. Taking in the room with the stone tree, he says "Elves made the gates a long time ago, right? Reckon they used this place to sleep, maybe dream some special dreams?"
  17. Kyros at least understands this used to be a place dedicated to Desna, now desecrated. He helps get the corpse down once Garion is done inspecting the jewelry.
  18. At sea with the clues presented here, Kyros looks to the other Bravos for some idea just what is going on in this liminal space. Kyros doesn't have any of those skills or languages.
