  1. Yeah no real reason not to use the most up to date versions. I can give anyone access to it if they don't already have it.
  2. There are character builders and such. Similar to PF2, the books are nice to have and read but most people don't use them as main source when actually playing a character. I do agree on tactical maps tho. These are a crucial part of 4e.
  3. Yeah I played both over pbp and indeed 13th Age did fix a couple of things but to me what makes 4e so great is the tactical combat where you slide allies and foes around terrain detailed map. And 13th Age doesn't deliver on that. On a sidenote was also disappointed by the generic Icons. Great idea, lackluster execution IMO. Due to pbp giving you more time to post your turn and easy access to VTTs since you are already playing online, I don't feel that faster turns and gridless combat makes it better suited for pbp.
  4. Let's wait to get a DM and then we can see what they have available ^^'
  5. I don't remember either (I believe most games I played were DM creations) so any campaign works for me. Or do you mean play them as opposed to running it?
  6. The community still keeps the character builder, iPlay4e, compendium running and much more. So that isn't a big issue IMO
  7. After running multiple games ,as well as playing them, of pf2, 5e, pf1 I got the itch to go back to 4e and realized I never GMed one even though I played a lot of it a decade ago. That's why I'm looking for a 4e game to refresh my knowledge and feel more at ease with it before I run a game. So here is hoping there are still people who know about it and are interested XD
