If you're into rock/metal, then they're definitely worth a listen, especially the earlier stuff. The singer - Geoff Tate - had a huge range. I think that most people would say that Operation Mindcrime 1 is one of the best albums that they did. Empire was a bit too polished for me.

I've just had a look at the OM1 album cover and the one that fits is Breaking The Silence.

That's Queensryche, but I coul;dn't tell you the title nor the album (if I had to guess, it'd be OM1).
