  1. Not the GM, but if I remember correctly you get the pantheon-specific purview, one innate purview off your patron's list, and then the others come from Relics and Guides. For those you can take whatever you want, though it should be supported by the concept for the relic and the guide, naturally.
  2. My thoughts for another potential long-term deed would involve Cassandra drumming up a cult for herself by posting ads online, advising people in need of magical services to think of her with their desires in mind. With the Always There gift she could often answer those prayers, and it would basically be handing the GM a free ticket to drop off adventure hooks.
  3. Got my character up. Part of me wanted to lean away from the Theoi since there are already a couple of applications for Scions from that pantheon, but ultimately the idea that spoke to me worked best with Hecate as a patron.
  4. I believe Cassandra is complete, save for deciding on Deeds. Plot-wise, I was thinking that Hecate is preparing Cassandra as a potential bearer of one or more of her own mantlesβ€”basically, she was impressed enough by Cassandra's moxie to decide that she'd be useful, and with the Titans acting up there's no harm in having some mortal Scions around to play a role in any contingency plans. EDIT: Deeds added.
  5. Cassandra Clark, The Hidden Herald Chosen of Hecate Origin: That Goth Kid (Culture, Empathy, Subterfuge) Growing up, Cassandra fell in with her school's goth clique, leading to her developing an interest in the occult. While the interest was there, the knowledge was not. Her youthful experiments with Ouija boards and 'spells' from the Internet proved fruitless, but she did develop an appreciation for the wild diversity of the world and a knack for reading peopleβ€”as well as a sense for how best to duck out of class to try the latest new bit of arcana she or a friend found. Role: Modern Occultist (Integrity, Occult, Technology) Most of her friends eventually lost interest in magic, but Cassandra never did. She'd seen enough to be convinced that magic was real, and she devoted herself to learning its secrets, synthesizing ancient and modern methodologies and seeking out sources of power. There were plenty of false leads, of course; while evidence of magic was easy enough to find, the methods behind it were called 'occult' for a reason. Most of those who knew the secrets of real magic didn't want to share, and for that matter, most magic wasn't accessible to ordinary mortals, at least not without a high price. Eventually, though, her methods led her to a particular crossroads at midnight on the night of the new moon. Pantheon: Self-Made Scion of Hecate (Empathy, Persuasion, Occult) Cassandra had come there, armed with nothing but her wits, to stand before the goddess Hecate and demand to be taken in as her student. She knew that this might be a fatal gambit; the Theoi famously enjoyed punishing mortals for hubris. But Hecate was unlike many of the Theoi, and somewhat to Cassandra's surprise the goddess accepted. Hecate granted Cassandra a measure of divine power, choosing her as a Scion and tutoring her in the beginning methods of true sorcery. Since then the goddess has been somewhat remote; though she continues to instruct Cassandra, she prefers for her newest Scion to seek out knowledge on her own. 6. Still planning on posting an application some time in the next few days, when I get a free minute to finalize my ideas. I've got a few possibilities floating around: an incarnate scion of Andarta who is the first reincarnation of that god since her death, a chosen scion of Hecate or Zorya who is a classic witch, one of the MΓ³rrΓgan's crows transformed into a human scion, and a born scion of Perun who really wants to just finish her graduate degree while Dad is pushing her into the family business (e.g. smiting evil and fighting monsters).
  7. Hey! I've been interested in playing in a Scion 2e game for a while and chanced across this. Are pantheons from the later books in the line allowed? I have some ideas for Scions of the Nemetondevos, the Bogovi, and the Annuna.
