  1. I think I've worked out what it was - we had been going up with +20pp each PL (plus an extra 10pp gained from the first episode), so had a little more extra than would otherwise with each rank up. Sheet is readied up for next chapter (I think!)

  4. "Thank you," Anna acknowledges of the moochee as she takes her box with their precious content. "I think we'll do try and do that. Right?" she asks, as she turns to face the rest of the group while still in her Scion regalia.
  5. "Uhm... Yeah, I... guess so? I mean... Yes." She straightened up, remembering that they were supposed to be the heroic protectors of the city, and not at all feeling somewhat in over her head. "That is, if they're both happy to join us as well." Well, one of them wasn't quite so much 'another' generation, was she? They'd fought alongside Morgan in earlier battles after all. While the other Anna... It sounded a lot like she outweighed the lot of them where it came to experience battling Rampants...

Fighting through giant monsters and flocks of shadow women were one thing, but social interaction in the middle of what sounded like a raging argument... one sided as the raging part might be? Was a harder beast to confront. "I hadn't exactly left... But we could probably do with the help..." She looked across to Drama Queen, unaware of the other girl's feelings for the school locale she happened to be a student at. She knew Leslie as being a solid strategist after all... "Right?" "...Are all those recruits going to be alright too? How long will it take for everyone to recover now... I mean... Do you think they'll have to keep the school shut tomorrow with all. This?"

"We...," the words broke in the face of something that refused to take hold within her memory, that flitted past as a much more familar portal opened, and with it the sight of a moochee. She followed its path, gliding through before she sighed outwardly as her boots drifted across the solid ground of their reality, and relaxed the magic binding those sword-bladed gauntlets to finally release. Is she right? Taking heart from the taunting barbs thrown at the Rampant, Anna keeps up her assault as the it pulls its limbs back... Forming one centre mass. Her feet skim over the 'floor' as Anna plunges forward, both arms outstretched as she drives for the Rampant's core and starts to rotate about as she goes. Not another magic, or a mystic technique. But if the best way to take the monster out is through it... She just hopes nobody will see if she bounces off after this, spinning about like a drill... At least if she pierces through it, nobody can laugh! They were hurting it, but that didn't mean it was making things easy. Quite the opposite, as it formed those layers of crystal and energy about its weak points and tried to turn their attacks aside. Which just meant they had to hit the thing even harder, with even more abandon. Again, and again, and again. Until it was done. So she keeps swinging at the monster, pushing harder to chip away at its guards and plunge for its weak points. If she could read minds, she would be agreeing with Leslie about refusing to die in school... but maybe missing out the 'public' part. All she can do is grit her teeth and try to let the attack roll past as she raises her weapons to stab down again into the monster's vulnerable tissues and hopes it goes down first. But one that while the afterimage was going to doubtless haunt her dreams for some time, was not enough to make Anna turn her focus away from the deadly predator. Less good was the how, as the shifting bulge of its screaming expansion launches her back, hands at her ears. The fact it was able to threaten them like this though, using words and not just its sheer size and powers, both belied how much they must have been able to harm it, and how much of a risk it would be to let it get any further. Her wings spread, she rights herself in the air and spins about to launch herself back down at the Rampant, again on the assault as she dive-bombs the entity to drive her bladed fists into its mass again and again. As one hand stabs out at the wrapping hand holding down onto her, the other hand moves to cover her mouth, for all the good that would do against the Rampant's attack.   20. Ye, it does absolutely hit Anna (Kaiden) since she's still in the slower tankier defence from the older thread and i'm just struggling to put together something that shows the stats (since half of everything didn't copy over apparently when I was transferring stuff for her sheet either)

Crossing past the threshold, to reveal the dark expanse of void filled with the shifting, roiling mass of Rampant was a surprise, but not such an unexpected one, after what Anna had experienced with the Rampant's shadowy servitor. Which meant there the natural reaction to the distorted form felt obvious to her. Attack. To charge in, with both blades drawn and her wings in orbit about her as the Scion went on the offensive, aware that seemingly alone and in the presence of the Rampant's monstrous mass, the only clear way to rejoin with the others would be through carving a path in the hope the thing would start to try and pull back from them all whilst they regrouped. Mundane Form Description Standing slightly on the borderline between 'short' and 'small' at 5'1", Anna does her best to conceal herself with a quiet, introverted presentation when she hasn't been suitably roused. Typically found wearing some form of the most casual, semi-protective wear she found to sling on the morning, alongside a hoodie or long-sleeved shirt, she does not do a great deal to accentuate her looks, and prefers to hide away anything unbefitting the facade she'd rather everyone see when they look at her. When it's not covered over, a mass of auburn glitters around her head. She still maintains an above average level of athletism than most might expect and the ability to make use of it anywhere there isn't a track. City Fact: Hope Middle School's sporting trophy cabinet has a bunch of awards and commemorative photos from her first year with Anna's name on them. Personality Withdrawn, quiet and socially removed by choice much of the time in public, but with a tendency to erupt spontaneously when she sees something that rouses her ire before catching herself and withdrawing back into her shell. She likes to think she's the kind of person who'd confront problems up front. In actual practice, she only really does this for other peoples problems, while hiding away from her own. Anna has little confidence in herself anymore, at least when being self-aware and her shell only comes down naturally though music and the digital realm, where she's more willing to expose her brighter self and passion. It's possible for people she'd call friends to get a deeper, more impassioned five minutes between phone screens with her than with thirty face to face. As a result, much of her downtime is spent online, hidden away from the analogue world. Even if she is aware of some of her flaws, she doesn't often perceive the level of acceptance she may actually be offered by others, or the depth of self-destruction some of her choices can risk leading to. Magical Form Description Anna's magical form harkens to an updated form of the knights of old. At it's lightest, she bears a skin-tight silver-blue bodysuit with a half-mask visor, completely covering the upper half of her face, save for a shock of platinum hair. A two-tailed half-cape hangs off her shoulders like a poncho, leading down to silvery reinforced boots. Upon entering conflict, the cape fragments, exposing armour at the chest and shoulders of her suit and the fragments forming gauntlets and two sets of interlocking blades, fanning out behind her like wings. Whenever she uses her magic powers, her costume alters slightly to match that of her weaponry. Finishing Blow King Saber/Great Skybuster Why did the Moochee pick you? ContentAnna was chosen for two reasons: Her magical potential, and her character flaws. The way that she hides behind the facade of her magical girl form means she'll willingly play her role better than the Moochee could have hoped if they had to try and keep her on track. Which they can't help but see as nothing but a good thing, as even without those traits, her potential and creativity for magic is greatly past the norm. Complications Responsibility: The Moochee choose Anna for a reason, in a world where not everyone has the power to face the Rampant, and it's a reason she'd like to live up to. Identity: Anna's doesn't want to stand out, and sure, she's had a sporting history, but True, very few Rampants have the intellects to take advantage of them, but everybody needs a life... people dear to them. People who could be used against them... Power Loss: Like any magical girl, Anna can only freely make full use of her powers when she's had the chance to transform. Even then, her powers are also linked to her emotional strength of will, and anything that could disturb that balance could have a knock-on effect on her powers. Phobia/Rivalry & Honor: Before she lost her confidence, Anna was a young ace for the track team, upsetting older members of the team who took it out on her, leading to her being injured from a nasty fall. Though the others have since backed off or moved up to High School, Anna's still not quite able to bring herself to face the track again, much less what's left of her former team. Compounding this is the need to keep a lid on her magical capabilities, and not exploiting them to stand out in public.
