Kutaeg, and appreciator of arts, low and high brow alike, couldn't help by awe at the luster of Branek's beard. He caught himself staring and tried to look up to make eye contact, but often felt his eyes dropping back down to his golden beard. Finally he replied, "Yes hello Branek. Great questions. Very direct. Of course, in my experience people are not just good, or bad. Even honorable men have regrets in some paths they took, and ways they treated their fellow man. But I think you will find this ship crewed by people on the path of light. We do follow the coin, but not at the expense of others. I was trained by Sana of the Grimtide clan, and she taught me that even if I right songs about darkness, people can still find hope in their melodies. Sadly Sana was taken when the miserable bandits, The Orphans, slaughtered everyone at the Grimtide compound. We've been doing honest days work, and every know and then, looking out for the common man. He had some experience with some of the mechanics, and could follow directions. He played songs to help pass the time, and often left the others feeling inspired to push through and complete tasks quicker. He spent a fair amount of time with his pal Bhalgurn. Bhalgurn carried quite a heavy load on his shoulders, but managed to keep quite the positive outlook. Kutaeg appreciated that. They shared decanters of wine after the work was done (and sometimes while it was still getting done) , and Kutaeg would gently seek more information about Bhalgurn's past. He was interested, but also, needed some verse material for a song he was working on for his friend. As they made the repairs on the station, he often searched for relics and remnants of the previous crew. What stories ended in this dark place? He was becoming almost obsessed as the days continued on.   That brings us to today as Tara surprised them with the torpedos. Kutaeg did not share the fascination with weapons of war that his barbarian friend did. But he did appreciate a good gift. "Ah, thank you, T! I can only imagine them our hands.
