  1. Sorry for my absence! Did Garkyn notice the little magic dude when he animated the statue? Or was he engaged with the dancing sword and concentrating on keeping the child safe?
  2. C'mon Blue Line! Lets destroy this artwork menace! :)
  3. Kayli’s strike against the animated statue left his ears ringing momentarily, but did not phase the ranger as he again brought Gefrierschrank to bear against the artwork menace. 4. With the animated sword destroyed, and the child out of immediate danger, Garkyn turned his wrath toward their newest threat. Taking tactical advantage of Kayli’s new positioning, the dwarf twisted and juked as he brought his maul around in a quick arc, then used the momentum to round house with his weapon again, an audible growl rumbling in his chest. 5. Feeling the animated weapon whiz past him bolstered his resolve. Taking a tactical step toward the statue, Garkyn brought his maul around aggressively in an attempt to destroy the enchanted blade so he could turn his efforts to the larger threat that had wounded his commanding officer. OOC Garkyn will step into flanking with Kayli and attack the enchanted toy sword with his first attack. IF the toy sword is destroyed, he will target the statue. IF it is not destroyed, he will remain focused on the toy sword. Attack on Toy Sword Possible Damage Second Attack - see above Possible Damage
  6. “Git away from this thing!” Garkyn barked to the youth a bit harsher than he had intended, as he recovered from the magical dancing sword’s brutal attack on him. Ducking and dodging, he brought his maul around with a grunt knowing that he had to end this soon or the innocent would pay a high price. “BLUE LINE HERE NOW!” he bellowed at the top of his deep, baritone voice in hopes of calling in reinforcements. 7. With heaving breaths, Garkyn caught up to the others, setting his maul upon the ground and leaning on it for balance. A quick visual survey of dwelling revealed nothing of merit, with multiple possible points of entry. “One of us should check the back, don’t you think Kayli?” he asked regarding the hedge maze. “I’d be up for that if you approve.” OOC Perception Check regarding the Hedge Maze Investigation Check on Hedge Maze History Check regarding the family residing at this location If he runs into anyone, he will try and reason with them as an officer of the law to gain access to the residence. 8. With the information gathered, and the Evil Toy already dispatched, are we ready to move on to the next location?
  9. Having found Wilmop the toymaker to be on the up-and-up, the dwarf jogged quickly to their destination, finding the situation to be well under control of a resourceful parent. Garkyn listened to the young mother’s recount of the terrible battle with the magicked toy, concern showing on his face behind his thick beard, as he pieced together the meaning of her accented words. “You are a brave mother and are to be applauded for keeping your boy safe!” His words were low and meaningful, as he watched the mother as she toiled over the repair of socks. Looking over her wounds in a manner that did not seem as though he were rudely staring, he ensured that her injuries had been properly tended to before he began his further investigation. 10. Then I'll suggest again that we move on to the "Manticore" situation.

  12. Absorbing every word the shop keeper said, the dwarf nodded in understanding. “You can keep your coin, good sir.” Reaching out, Garkyn placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “We will find these toys and dispatch them as we have done with these,” he said, waving his hand to indicate the destroyed constructions. Turning to his commanding officer, he spoke in urgent tones. “We should head to the purchasers of the Manticore, as I believe them to be the closest to our current location, then work our way down the line and put an end to this arcane menace!” OOC Garkyn will decline the offer of coins as he’s a ‘Good Cop’. But, if pressed, he will accept the offer of the bag, but only after protesting.
  13. Looking at the finely crafted bow in his hands, the dwarven ranger grunted in self satisfaction before slinging it over his shoulder once more. “Guess I still have what it takes!” he mumbled to himself as he picked his maul up and gazed down at the remains of the slain toy menace laying in bits upon the floor. With the discovery of the document tying the warehouse to the BLM, Garkyn was immediately suspicious of what the toy’s true intent had been. “Should we move our investigation to the store where the reported Victim currently is?” he asked, before scanning the rafters from Xander. It always amazed him how fleet of foot his friend was, as he watched him dart from one board to the next with trained ease. OOC If there are no objections by our leader, shall we move on to the Store?
