  1. Hmm you know when you have that moment where you're paging through books for ideas, see something that makes you laugh, but it doesn't actually help you narrow down what to play? Was looking in Hard Targets and spotted yo-yo's and roller blades. My brain said "well it is pink mohawk..."Unfortunately this has not yet helped me narrow down if I'm going techno with just those as a bit of fun, cyberadept, physical adept, or straight sammy. SR has too much fun flavor. lol
  2. Hmm debating at this point between making a technomancer (a sourceror most likely, possibly geared toward being somewhat teamwork focused since there seems to be a decent amount of matrix folks) or perhaps something more focused on punching in faces since we don't have as many folks making those it seems like.
  3. Sticking near to Ms. Coro and Ms. Mae rather than wondering off on her own Gwen found herself a comfortable spot in the caboose and tried not to let herself look as bored as she was starting to feel. The journey seemed exciting on the surface but after a while the riding in a train did start to become rather tiring and poor for keeping one's attention unless you happen to spot something good out a window. "Do them folk really tend to bother trains out this way though," she wondered out loud upon hearing Ms. Coro and their employer's back and forth. Hearing Ms. Mae mumbling something nearby she looked up and gave the woman a confused look. Had she spotted something somewhere? Gwen turned her attention out the nearest window to look around out of curiosity.
  4. As I start letting my brain run wild through SR books and remember all the crazy stuff is there anything in particular that you want us to stay away from? It's been a while and I've looked at SR books far more that I've actually played games so not sure which is the stuff that is normally banned or GM's are leery of so figure I'd best ask.
  5. Hmm not sure if I'll end up launching myself down the SR rabbit hole but pink mohawk does sound fun. Thinking back on an old idea that I never got to really make/play, what's your outlook on how blindness would effect a technopath?
  6. Man my brain does stupid stuff. Had just settled down on doing a character with a dog line when I watched too much Girls Und Panzer, had to talk myself out of a tankmon/tankdramon idea and commandramon thoughts but then drifted toward Kokuwamon > Ballistamon > AtlurBallistamon with a bit of a better idea for the character themselves. Not sure yet on a Mega but probably one of the machine like ones with electrical themes like Raidenmon, unless MetalKabuterimon counts as a Mega.
  7. It's fine. I had had a few different ideas and seeing what other folks are doing does often help me eliminate some and make up my mind. Honestly was initially a bit bummed just by the timing of seeing your stuff go up right after I had kind of settled on the idea enough to get Luxmon statted up but I've still got like five other partners in mind. Edit: Actually debating right now doing something fairy focused from Tinkermon like Tinkermon -> Hudiemon -> Lilymon maybe? Alternatively I'm debating how I feel about Tinkermon -> Kinkakumon -> Sanzomon -> Minervamon or just going back to one of the first few ideas I had of Jazmon, Vorvomon, or Labramon.
  8. Yeah I found Luxmon which is specifically a little angel rookie so I went with that for my angel line so have at the sisters. That said looks like someone else is doing something similar just with a different rookie so now debating going with one of my other ideas. I had considered something like Tinkmon to Minervamon line but could find a good way to do the spots in between. Kinkakumon kind of works for the champion level but having trouble finding one I like for the ultimate that feels like it fits.

  10. I've actually been brainstorming a kind of "cheer" array along similar lines. The ideas I had so far was one kind of "go all out" type that boosts damage and gives power attack, an opposite "stay focused" type to give an accuracy boost along with accurate attack, a kind of "come save me!" call to give/boost movement and deflection so the partner could rush over to intercept attacks, and then perhaps a sort of "tough it out" for like a single per combat heal with the drawback temporary flaw so it's basically encouraging them to push past the injury but they'll feel it again once the moment has passed.
  11. I believe here in the dubs it was called DNA rather than Jogress. Basically an evolution involving two or more digimon fused together. Like in the first movie when Metalgarurumon and Wargraymon fuse together, or the various ones in the second season.
  12. Ooh also other question just occurred to me while rereading the stuff on Digimodify and then capturing. Do Jorgress digivolution mess with your norm digivolution? Like if I go the angel route but managed to capture a LadyDevimon and then use that for a Mastemon Jorgress does that become the only option for their mega form then or can they still do their non-jorgress megaform and have that one only trigger when they use the LadyDevimon card?
  13. Okay thinking on it a high presence, good person type character buffing their partner with the power of friendship does sound fairly amusing. I need to start stating out my ideas and see which I like more but that one might work better with an angel line then the smart character idea, just going off my memory of adventures and who tended to get the angels. lol
  14. So really random thought, and this is coming to mind without looking to remind myself how this would even work in M&M (or if it can). Since at least to begin with the digimon are part of a mobile game would it be possible for the humans to have some kind of "buff" powers they could give their digimon either through some logic like being a rich whale who can afford to buy tons of in game currency, having a tricked out device that can run the app better somehow, or just straight up hacking/cheating?
  15. Hearing the quick-talking man letting out another long blast of hard-to-decipher words Gwen let herself drift back over by the nice Ms. Coro again. She wasn't sure why the man talked like his words were gonna get confiscated if he didn't use them all up first but it was a bit dizzying to try and follow. Of course that was probably preferable to having to talk with the men they had just met. Gwen felt a frown pull at her face while they gave the two older girls a hard time for no good reason. She was suddenly glad she hadn't admitted she was one to them yet herself and pulled her hat a bit lower, glaring past the rim of it at the trio. Catching some of what Ms. Coro was muttering she was momentarily glad for the bits of otherwise horrible schooling she had been through as she at least recognized the Latin and what most of it meant. Her growing temper was calmed what seemed to be a prayer to her and she let out a sigh. She smiled up at Ms. Coro, glad to see she was such a nice lady and was even willing to turn the other cheek to the insults rather than pick a fight. The older girls her sisters had looked up to would not have done the same. More likely they would have done the opposite and started something with the three feller's that would have led to someone getting hurt and bad feelings all around. Gwen nodded along to the plan, only to start a moment after the end of it when she realized just what Ms. Coro had said. Her hands came up to smother a giggle but she wasn't completely successful. Okay maybe the older girl wasn't completely turning the other cheek. "I don't mind that plan ma'am," she eagerly said. Realizing that might not have been the response a boy would give she quickly added in. "I can keep you both company and safe and all."
  16. Honestly if someone else is doing one of my several ideas that helps me narrow things down. lol I could alternatively do a chess style thing for a brainy character. I also started debating doing something angelic maybe after glancing around through some digimon I didn't know about. If I do that the current idea is something like this: Rookie: Most undecided point but maybe Tinkermon or Sistermon Champion: Darcmon Ultimate: Angewomon or ArkhaiAngemon Mega: LovelyAngemon or Ophanimon
  17. Hmm been a while since I've messed with M&M but used to love it so this could be fun. Have like four different ideas for possible partners but gotta think up the human to decide what fits best. Thinking either the young genius type with maybe a funbeemon (cause the geniuses always get bugs) or maybe more of a serious, focused player with labramon, jazamon, or vorvomon.
  18. Gwen had found herself left a bit flabbergasted by the fast-talking and could only nod along to the last of the introductions during the first meeting. She found herself unconsciously drawn to the friendly and straightforward seeming Ms. Coro and happily fell into step with the woman when they met back up the next day. She couldn't help but blush a bit at the comment about her demeanor making the trip more cheerful but she pushed that aside and gave the three men nods, providing the name she had given the others for the moment before moving to look around the place. "I think that thing might weigh more than I do," she joked of the gatling gun. She tried to imagine herself using it and couldn't help but giggle at the thought, sounding the most like her own age than she had in a while before she remembered herself. She glanced toward the bird and frowned for a moment before shaking her hear. It was just a bird after all, even if at a glance a raven seemed like an ill omen it was still one of God's creatures. "Well I'm sure it'll all be alright," she said finding herself a good spot to take a seat and get comfortable. "After all we're far to odd a group to be together except by some plan of God's and Pa always said that those are the kind of plans that would see you well to the end."
  19. Gwen gave the man an eager nod. She wasn't going to claim to be any kind of great chef but she could stir a stew pot or peel potatoes well enough. "Alright Mister. I'll be there," she assured the man with a wide smile. Turning toward the others she gave a nod, glad to catch some names. "Nice to meet you Mr. Beauregard, Ms. Coro," she said shaking the latter's hand when offered. "I go by Dolyn." While not a lie the words were a bit misleading. There had been one other child she knew back before her life had taken it crazy turns who had called her that once or twice jokingly. So when attempted to travel in the guise of being a boy as she was currently she felt she was being honest enough in saying it was a name she went by, and it became more true the more often she said so. She didn't necessarily like it but it was better than outright lying and no doubt anyone who didn't have good enough eyes to already guess she was a girl would do so immediately if she gave her full name. Following Ms. Coro's lead she likewise turned toward the more quite pair expectantly. She tried to give encouraging looks as she hoped to get introduced.
  20. No worries. Definitely have your focus there on that. Diabetic issues like that are very scary when it happens. Fingers crossed they get her meds right so you all don't have to keep having issues and figure out what changed that threw things off in the first place.
  21. Gwen didn't know for sure why she was in Doddsville. It seemed so out of the way, just a little piece of nowhere on the way to somewhere, and yet here she was. A ride along on the wagon with some folks who didn't mind having an extra pair of helpful hands only for the wagon to break a wheel and the folks to decide to stick around for a while rather than try to get it fixed right away. It may have seemed strange if most of Gwen's recent travels didn't tend to go along the same way. It might not seem to make much sense in the moment, but she usually found herself where the Lord needed her in the end. Following her feet she took a casual stroll through town, considering if she might need to find a place to bunk for a few days and hoping for a sign before she made up her mind when she happened to pass close enough to hear a gentleman making an offer to a few interesting-looking folk. A small grin tugged at her lips and she sent off a silent prayer of thanks before drawing closer. Keeping her head down and the brim of her hat low she did her best to sound like a boy, not bothering to disguise her usual enthusiasm. "You really paying so much for folks just to protect your stuff Mister," she asked. "Could I hire along too? That's the way I'm suppose to be going to meet up with my Pa and I'd like do show him I did some good work when I see him. I'll be right helpful, I promise." She moved her poncho enough to show the six-shooter at her waist for the briefest moment, aiming to get the point across that she wouldn't be deadweight if there was trouble. Of course she wasn't a fan of giving anyone a false impression but it was best sometimes and she hadn't told a lie. After all she would be meeting up with her Pa some day going any direction the Lord sent her in, and she did want to be able to show she had done some good works along the way. She just wouldn't actually be meeting up with the man for what would hopefully be a very long while.
  22. At a glance I don't think Gwen would know anyone, at least not long-term. Perhaps crossed paths at some point in the past or maybe a recent acquaintance like meeting in the last few days on the road.
  23. Yeah I'm pretty bad a geography so backstory locations were purposefully none-specific too help avoid embarrassing myself. lol
  24. First draft of the backstory back up. Still debating a few thoughts on potential changes but let me know if anything seems glaringly off track or needs some clarification.
