That feeling of protectiveness is... disturbingly familiar - she wasn't just joking when she compared Biara to an old friend of hers. Her eyes close, and the gears in her arm whir to life as the power flows into the magic that already runs through her frame - far more power than even in her primary personal weapon, and completely overpowering the little capelet she wears for protection from magical assaults. I see... Freedom, hm? The word sets off a brief tangent in Olympia's mind that she shares with Biara, apparently deliberately - the image of a massive, curved plane of glass shattering, and a feeling of movement - running, twirling, jumping - falling? Then the sensation is gone again. Ground rules: no taking over my legs, I need those. More importantly, don't start a fight. You can react if we're under attack, but don't strike first unless I give the okay or they're clearly with someone we're already fighting. If you're not sure, ask. Olympia didn't want to harm innocents if she could help it, and that included letting Biara use her arm to do it. Mistakes could happen, but she didn't want to cause more. Maybe it was naive of her, but she still wanted to do her best to make the multiverse a better place. I'll never be mad at you for asking for clarification. Beyond that... How does the saying go? 'Everything which is not forbidden is permitted.' At least for now.

"I'm not one for fancy titles. I apologize if that offends your sense of ceremony. Just calling me 'Olympia' will be fine." Because if Biara starts calling her "owner" or "master" she's not going to be able to go through with this. "One last thing." Olympia twirls gracefully, and that musical chime starts up again, turning into a little tune as she moves to touch Eosi's shoulder, then Danika's. Apparently Olympia really is a music box. Curves of glass grow in baroque curlicues through the lattices of Eosi's icy magic as she adds her own protections; some of them shift subtly as their recipients move, and they'll find they gather together when someone strikes at them to ward off the blow. Then she holds out her hand to Biara again. "Now, will you show me what you can do? If you want to help us out, now's the best time." She'll be ready to go in at any time. Mechanics Using the armor bonus version of the Armored Magic aegis (grants a +4 armor bonus) on Eosi, the shield version (grants a +2 shield bonus) on him, Danika, and herself, and the basic Deflection aegis (also a +2) on herself. She manages to turn an expression that was going to be horrified into a skeptical one instead, but she still shoots a meaningful glance at Eosi. You could have warned me about this. Good grief, does she actually think of herself like that? Olympia is not exactly on board with "owning" people. She spent far too long being a possession herself to be comfortable with it, even if she thinks of it as something like a curse Biara is under rather than actually being a slave. But arguing it out here is another thing they don't really have time for. Bringing Eosi to the front lines for the sake of wielding Biara is clearly a bad idea, and while she's been doing her level best not to acknowledge it, she has noticed that Danika is edgy about Biara for what she suspects are different reasons. So unless Hotel Echo wants to try - since all the other Bitter Titans seem to have guns - there aren't a lot of other options for Biara to participate. "Well, I'm not quite as sure as you are that it would be a foregone conclusion, but it would be a waste of time and trouble." She curtsies to Eosi. "Eosi, if you would...?" She can't quite bring herself to actually ask for a transfer of ownership out loud. Until she can unwind whatever's going on with Biara, this relationship may involve a fair amount of lying to herself, or at least refusing to let herself think about certain things.

"Well, there goes my plan to look impressive pulling my weapon out of my bag. Although..." She turns back to Biara, now that she's returned.. "Eosi tells me you can turn into a weapon? If you'd like a chance to show off that trick, I do tend to actually strike things a bit more often than he does." She chuckles quietly. "I tend to prefer fighting with two weapons, if you don't turn into anything too large for me to use in one hand." She sets her glass down on a nearby table that's waiting to be cleared, then pulls the long fan out from where it's tucked between the wires around her dress, and snaps it open with a telltale flash of blades. Then she holds her right hand out to Biara. "Fortunately, I do have something for the other hand. Though I do hope you don't get seasick in that form." As much as Olympia spins around in combat, motion sickness would be a bit of a handicap. She ducks her head to accept a touch from Danika; a quiet chime that seems to emanate from somewhere in Olympia's torso. "Thank you, Danika." She can see in normal darkness, but of course the advantage of being able to see through Danika's magic is still a big help.
  5. HP: 108/108 || AC: 29 || SP: 14/14 || Fort: +7 Ref: +12 Will: +9 || Perception: +13 Delayed Damage Pool: 0/27 || Dodge Pool: 170/170% "Automatic weapons aren't... quite what I meant." Olympia bites her lip for a moment before deciding that getting into what "resource and personnel attrition" actually covers is too much for a conversation where they've already gotten more words out of any Bitter Titan than she usually hears in a month. They have places to be, anyway, and even if Olympia wanted to play psychiatrist, ten minutes isn't enough for her to psychoanalyze an entire squad. "I don't talk about missions like dancing just as a metaphor - I have a knack for controlling the rhythm of a fight. You don't necessarily have to literally dance, but it's a matter of timing, following it like a piece of music. Listen for when the actual music starts playing, and if you can keep time you might find it makes everyone who participates a little more effective." She turns to look at Eosi with wide eyes when he mentions Biara turning into a weapon. Which puts kind of a different cast on what Danika was saying earlier. "Really. That's very interesting. Well, I can fight with two blades as well as a double-ended one... If she doesn't mind the sharp edges and metal parts -" Yes, she may be teasing Eosi and Biara about that for a while. "- I wouldn't mind the help. I can get by just fine without breathing, though. But if anyone would like a bit more protection, I can also help with that - a bit like having armor or a shield that won't hinder you at all." She'll just continue sipping from her wineglass while they wait for Biara and the additional member of Bitter Titan who's apparently on the way. It takes a lot more than one slowly-consumed glass of wine to impair Olympia's capabilities, generally, since consuming anything is also pretty much optional for her. "Well, you'll get to see for yourself soon enough, Magos. Though I'm sure I don't need to question your sense of rhythm." At least not if it's as good as his dramatic timing.
  6. HP: 108/108 || AC: 29 || SP: 13/13 || Fort: +7 Ref: +12 Will: +9 || Perception: +13 Delayed Damage Pool: 0/27 || Dodge Pool: 170/170% Olympia's eyes widen a little at what happens when someone stumbles up against Biara. "You probably want to be careful with that. Not everyone is as resilient as we are." She smiles to try and take some of the sting out of the remark. "Like you were saying earlier - I try not to lean on people who can't support my weight or catch people's fingers in my gears." Well, between Eosi's and Danika's urging, she can hardly say no - she beckons to Biara to come along as well before following Eosi back over. "So, did you settle on a - oh, I see!" She recognizes the contract from her earlier perusal halfway through the sentence. Olympia's still a little shaky on the general mechanics of things like "starships" and "outer space" - Onyx City is just about up to automobiles, radio, and neon - but that contract still caught her eye earlier... and of course, regardless of how much sense it makes to her, the actual objective is obvious enough. "That one! It looks like it could be quite a job. If you're looking for an extra hand or two, I'm happy to help!" After all, presumably if they didn't want her to join, Danika wouldn't have been waving her over. Although she raises her eyebrows a little when she sees two out of the three other Bitter Titan members have joined them as well. Hopefully this spaceship place isn't too cramped, or things might get crowded. She looks up at Foxtrot-Lima thoughtfully. "I'm sure your team can coordinate - how is your rhythm?" They don't need to be literally able to dance to keep up with Olympia, after all, but it helps to be able to keep time.
  7. Will get a post up in a bit here. Olympia's got the full two instances of Somatic Casting, so I think she still has a 10% spell failure chance even from mithral chain shirt. Apart from that the only thing she has that turns off when armored is Unarmored Training itself, and 9 armor/5 deflection is indeed better than she can do with Unarmored Training and her protection talents, although if anybody else wants some armor or deflection bonus and doesn't already have it, Olympia can toss out +4 armor, +2 shield, and/or +2 deflection with her aegises. Nothing from KFE or Bravo requires her to be unarmored afaik. Though Olympia can also give herself miss chances from Bravo and has a delayed damage pool from Guardian sphere so it's not like she's too terribly fragile even without the armor :p
  8. HP: 108/108 || AC: 29 || SP: 13/13 || Fort: +7 Ref: +12 Will: +9 || Perception: +13 Delayed Damage Pool: 0/27 || Dodge Pool: 170/170% Olympia chuckles softly. "You and Kiki really would get along, I think." She hums a bar of music that would probably be mostly-unrecognizable even if Biara knows the song - by contrast to Biara, Olympia's voice is designed to be pleasing, but she has no training in singing at all, and her only real skill that helps with it is being able to keep rhythm. Besides, it was always a song her friend liked more. We shoot without a gun, we'll take on anyone... Biara's verse is really only kind of an answer, but Olympia decides not to press her on it. Putting it together with what Danika mentioned as she left, she has a strong suspicion that Biara's past is painful. And since she did just ask Biara not to pry into her own past too much, it would be hypocritical to get pushy now. She glances away for a brief moment, following Spark's path back toward where la Veritas, Danika, and Foxtrot-Lima are talking. Apparently they managed to get the masked mercenary to contribute to the conversation after all - though she can't imagine Lusinga la Veritas and any of Bitter Titan really having the same conversation. "I like it here in Nexus. There's so much light here, compared to where I'm from - although that's true of most planes, really. Even when Danika isn't in the room. If you're planning on staying with the Realmwardens, maybe we can work together? There are quite a few contracts up at the moment that really need a team, and as I was saying to the Magos..." She gestures to the tall figure whose hand Spark alighted on. "I always like dancing with a partner better. Spark is darling, if you have a tolerance for mischief and for la Veritas being a ham, but neither of them is exactly what you'd call sturdy."
  9. Olympia has a decent Perception score (side benefit of having a trade tradition, it means Perception's an auto-class skill, presumably so everybody doesn't end up only taking talents that have it :P ) and darkvision but not much else on the perception side. She's also got a good Stealth bonus for obvious reasons but not much other bonus there either (surprisingly, making herself weigh almost nothing with Body Control doesn't seem to give a stealth bonus), but given the opportunity she can to either a) give herself and everyone within 30 ft +4 to Stealth and/or Sleight of hand for a turn or b) let herself and/or anybody she can see reroll one of those checks instead. She just has to kinda plausibly have had the opportunity to set it up. As far as ranged options Olympia doesn't have a whole lot of non-magical options, though she can fire a crossbow or two if she gets hold of one. Mostly she's got destructive blasts or Magnetize. I think Magnetize is probably still subject to SR, if only on the logic that most people are not magnetic so I've gotta be doing something to them. (And Magnetize relies on having loose metal objects around. Granted, on a spaceship going all Event Horizon that's probably not too hard to find. Otherwise I can think about finding some disposable weapons to huck at people since I'm pretty sure Biara wouldn't appreciate it.)
  10. HP: 108/108 || AC: 29 || SP: 13/13 || Fort: +7 Ref: +12 Will: +9 || Perception: +13 Delayed Damage Pool: 0/27 || Dodge Pool: 170/170% Olympia covers a giggle when Eosi introduces her, especially as worthy of emulation. "Everyone seems to want to flatter me today. Not that I'm complaining much, but it does make me feel a bit like somebody wants something." Being addressed as lovely isn't that unusual for her, but la Veritas and Eosi picking the same compliment in quick succession is funny. "And hello, Spark." Her eyebrows go up when Biara starts analyzing her construction. That's not what she expected from a towering demon carousing at the bar - but then, Danika had said something about her being a weapon as she left. It might be a reflex. (Her cheek twitches a little when that one "it" slips in, but it doesn't sound like a habit, so she lets it pass for now.) The reaching out to touch makes her start to think that for all her imposing appearance, Biara's rather childlike. Rather than flinch away, she reaches up to intercept Biara's hand gently with her own. "I'm mostly clockwork, but I'm built off a living base, yes. And not orcs, no. Vampires. I'd prefer not to get into the details." Which is probably more than Eosi has heard about how she was made, unless he was present when she was inducted (she had a physical, because if she has to consult the healers at the guildhall it's better not to surprise them). "The wires help conduct magic. Them being on the outside was an aesthetic choice." It takes her a minute to register where that last bit is going, and... well, Olympia can't blush, so her cheeks stay just as as pale as before, but her eyes widen and her chin drops. She isn't sure whether to be mortified or to laugh. "That is not how I was expecting that to end. I had a friend who'd do that, but she wasn't as clinical when she was sizing people up." She glances up at Eosi for a second, then back to Biara, and manages a wry smile. "No, I'm a dancer - and not as a euphemism. Well, and a guardian. I like to be able to help people. I suppose this means I'm not the new recruit anymore, hm?" Not that there haven't probably been other new Realmwardens in the months since she joined, but none of them really in Olympia's circles. "So what do you do, Biara? Are you an engineer?"
  11. I think 2, 4, 6, 8, and 9 are my favorites in no particular order, so I'm on board with going for 4! Olympia would be good at 10 but it is uncomfortably reminiscent of... y'know, her entire backstory, so she would probably only accept it reluctantly. She would really like to not be an art object for a little bit. At least one shield unit might not be a bad idea. Two may be overkill even in escort mission terms but that depends on how many escortees we're shepherding around at a given time.
  12. HP: 108/108 || AC: 29 || SP: 13/13 || Fort: +7 Ref: +12 Will: +9 || Perception: +13 Delayed Damage Pool: 0/27 || Dodge Pool: 170/170% One of the consequences of being intentionally attention-grabbing is that, well, you tend to get attention. Normally Olympia wouldn't mind, except that suddenly several people have converged on her and it seems like it's overwhelmed the Bitter Titan just when they were about to answer her. Apparently if I want a conversation out of them, I should ask something practical. Makes sense, if they don't like small talk. Some people are like that - on the rare occasions Olympia has gotten to actually talk to other clockwork servants, it certainly took some of them that way. Her lips quirk ruefully as she recognizes the way Foxtrot-Lima steps back to fade into the background, and she... well, it's hard to tell if she's caught their eye through the mask, but she still gives them a sympathetic look. Not that it's hard to fade into the background when the foreground contains both Danika and Lusinga la Veritas, in addition to Olympia herself. La Veritas's method of making an entrance strikes her as that strange flavor of ostentatious you get when something is conspicuously austere - "Look, I can do this so casually I don't need to be flashy about it." Just appeared completely out of thin air, is all. And of course Danika lights up a room by herself, literally. "Good day, Magos la Veritas." She bobs in as close an approximation of a curtsy as she can make, considering the outer layer of her skirt is metal - it ends up looking a bit more like a plié than anything else. Meeting la Veritas's grandiosity with courtly manners and verbal fencing is amusing, but sometimes Olympia is keenly aware of how little she actually knows about what goes on in the head behind that mask. "Hello, Danika! I've only just been looking, myself." Which is what she's pretty sure Foxtrot-Lima was starting to say anyway, if she adjusts for military jargon. "Well, if I have a partner, I can certainly try and handle some much more interesting numbers, can't I?" Olympia almost always fights better with a partner anyway, if it's a situation where combat is required. And considering the number of these contracts that look like they're going to involve a risk of violence, that might just be necessary. "Would you be implying you're on the lookout for a bit of companionship yourself, Magos?" Although how anyone could be lonely with Spark always around, Olympia doesn't know. She looks up to see a trail of pixie dust circling Eosi like an overexcited comet and squealing about something... oh. "Oh, I see, Spark's discovered Eosi's new friend. Biara, was that her name? Have any of you met her properly, yet? I keep meaning to ask Eosi to introduce us, but I only ever seem to run into them when she's in trouble." "Any" including Foxtrot-Lima, though she's not expecting them to break their silence again on that account. She flashes the rest of the group a grin. "Or I suppose I go say hello of my own accord, like a sensible person." And she darts away through the crowd to waltz right up to Biara - that precise grace gets a little more necessary to maneuver without poking someone as she gets closer to the bar. "Hello, there! I don't think we got introduced yet, have we? My name's Olympia." She's very confident, considering she only comes up about to Biara's chin.
  13. Biara probably can't join the dance in weapon form, no, since she can't take the specific actions that would let her without straight-up hijacking her wielder. Although I'm not sure how much Biara would benefit from most of Olympia's dances in any event. (If Biara gets disappointed with not being able to, Olympia's probably going to encourage her to dance with her in their off-time, sometime when she's got leisure to take a form with legs.) Olympia's been with the Realmwardens for a little while but probably not quite a full year, so she probably knows most of the others by sight even if she hasn't had a chance to actually work on a job with them. She'll probably have tried to make friends anybody who'll actually let her, or at least learn their names and make small talk. Although in GETE's case this might mean she's polite to the ancilliaries and has gotten used to not getting much back. Bitter Titan probably freaks her out but she's gonna try not to let it show, because her interpretation of what's going on with them involves projecting a lot of her own experiences and she is consequently sympathetic (she kind of dissociated herself from a lot of her memories of being "owned" and suspects the members of Bitter Titan are in a similar brainspace, although maybe not for the same reason). She also definitely believes Lusinga is running the show but still talks to him and Spark collectively - just because Spark's a "familiar" doesn't mean she can't be included! If Danika's motes ever display any sign of actually listening she'll probably talk to them too.
  14. HP: 108/108 || AC: 29 || SP: 13/13 || Fort: +7 Ref: +12 Will: +9 || Perception: +13 Delayed Damage Pool: 0/27 || Dodge Pool: 170/170% The figure who enters next almost exactly splits the difference between the gangling masked figure and the diminutive elf - she looks like she would measure about five-foot-nothing if she stood flat on her feet. But she steps and bobs along lightly, as if she's only slightly more tethered to the earth than Eosi, even though the floorboards creak under her weight when she settles in one place. Each movement is accompanied faintly by the quiet click and ratchet of clockwork from somewhere in her torso. (One could tell exactly where, if one saw her from the front - there's a window in her stomach that looks right in on her main gearbox for easy inspection.) Her porcelain-white face is eerily flawless, and almost as mask-like as the visages of the Bitter Titan company, except that it's clearly moving. She smiles broadly as she enters and offers Eosi a wave from the doorway when she spots him hovering above the crowd - it's not hard to notice, since she gestures like she's just come on stage and wants to make sure the balcony can see it, making the frills of her dress billow. It looks a bit like she's wearing a crinoline over her dress, for some reason, unless you notice that the wires making up the metal frame seem to disappear somewhere around the seams of her sleeves... Tucked through those wires, near her waist, is a folded fan as long as a short sword. Her favorite weapon is cumbersome enough that she doesn't bring it to the tavern, since it's almost as long as Eosi's spear and looks like a poleaxe designed by a frustrated cathedral architect. She weaves her way between tables as adeptly as the waiters, somehow managing never to actually be in anyone's way, though she does order a glass of wine from one of them in passing. Olympia doesn't need to drink, but unlike the Bitter Titans, she still does, raising the glass to her lips once she has it. It's a white; Olympia still hasn't gotten over the novelty of wines existing that aren't heavy and red enough to mistake for blood. Yellow eyes almost the same color as the wine scan the Wall of Contracts as she waltzes along it, darting nimbly around "Foxtrot Lima 001" to avoid blocking what she presumes is their line of sight. "Hello there! Anything good posted today?" She's not sure whether to expect a response, but she does at least try to be polite. Treating someone like furniture offends her, even if they're doing a very solid impression.
  15. Olympia's only got 5 AOOs a round, but yes, she's got Dual Opportunity so she gets an offhand attack when she uses an AOO, and attacking an ally in her threatened space (15 feet when she patrols) provokes from her. Oh, and she can patrol and start a dance with the same action thanks to her Bravo whim (for instance, Belligerent Choreography, which is going to be fun in a party with three patrollers - if an enemy starts their turn in the threatened area of any dancer with that up, they take a little damage and are battered unless they make a Reflex save). The main reason Olympia might want to hang on to some of her AOOs is that she can use them to give herself a miss chance with Cunning Celerity, but she's high enough level that she has other options for doing that. Or if she's got Cold Iron Call or Durable (she's got them as Spontaneous Techniques so they're not always on atm) she might want to spend AOOs to move next to somebody and take an attack for them that one of those would absorb. Other things to be aware of fighting around Olympia: - You can join her dances one of three ways: spend a move action and move up to half your speed, take a five-foot step, or spend an immediate action to move five feet (that last one can be done in response to an attack or something you make a Reflex save against to get a +2 dodge bonus to AC against that attack or to the save). Once you do one of those things, you've got the effect of the dance until the start of your next turn. - Like her patrol, her dance radius is 15 feet right now (it runs on multiples of five so it'll go up to 20 next level). Once you've joined the dance, leaving it doesn't make you lose the bonus, though you'd need to get back in the radius to join again next turn. - Olympia's got Expert Feint, so when she feints somebody they just straight-up lose their Dex bonus to AC until the start of her next turn, for the purposes of everything, not just her next attack. - She's also still got most of her Bardic Performance options so she can inspire courage for +2 to attack and damage for anybody who can perceive her, or toss Inspire Greatness at somebody if they need some temp HP.
