  1. In a blur of mighty thew-d motion Robin was back amongst his friends and seeing everyone (more or less) safe and sound was just what he needed to boost his flagging well of energy but when Rhys spoke again he tried to maintain his own more-or-less stoic veneer but he has precisely 0 points in Deception and has at no point in this entire game shown any sort of talent for subterfuge. Do with this information what you will. "I dunno, I guess he saw my hat and knew that I was the leader." He replied, fiddling with the military cap atop his head.
  2. On the outside Vesper was still the picture of composure as he wiped the ooze off of his face with one gloved hand, a rapid series of blinks trying to clear the burning sensation in his elven eyes even as they started to water, and produced another hankerchief from his top pocket to do likewise for his glasses. On the inside however he was rather mortified, being slapped in the face was hardly dignified and what's more, it hurt! He wasn't one to trouble his newfound companions with such trifling matters though and as luck would have it, the Ramenooze might have been the problem but it had also provided the solution. He had seen the creature channel the healing power of ramen to aid Akimbold and he had something far more potent than mere noodles. Sliding his glasses back up on to the bridge of his nose, Vesper tucked his hankerchief back in to his pocket from whence it came and straightened back up again, allowing the healing magic raw essence of butlerling to flow through him. He might have been injured but it simply wasn't his place to complain about it after all. OOC Initiative Slot 3: Essence Du Maître Spending 10 MP targeting himself to recover 30 HP
  3. Suddenly caught in his teammate's titanic hug, Robin was just about able to let out a rubbery surprised squeak before being hauled off of his feet. "Rhys!" He called out happily, doing his best to hug him back with whatever energy he had left "I got grabbed by a monster but I beat it up so bad he turned in to a cloud! What happened to you guys? Is Solstice okay?"
  4. Punching an ooze was an unusual feeling and Vesper was more than a little thankful that he was carrying a back up pair of gloves but clearly trying to physically assault such an amorphous creature was not going to be a productive use of his time, he wasn't even sure if the thing was being genuinely hostile or not, oh if only he'd taken Applied Butlinguistics but there was no time to regret his academic choices now. Instead he exhaled once again and worked the vapour in to another exquisite avian form, sending it on its way towards the dizzy eyed kobold that had attacked him, too dainty and elegant for this cruel ugly world but also brimming with fiery magical energy. 5. Robin kept swinging at Chro's gaseous form until he had floated out of his reach, settling for just sticking out his tongue and taunting him with a very mature "No you wont!" Then he was all alone in the strange dark room and without the adrenaline thundering through his veins everything hit him all at once and he slumped against the wall to catch his breath. He'd won but fighting without his friends he'd had to push himself harder than he'd done than maybe even at the Vytal Festival but it had been worth it and he couldn't help but grin as the wag came back to his tail. He didn't have to be afraid of Chro any more, he wasn't the terrible thing he'd built up in his head any more, he was just another monster. Pulling himself back to his feet he started towards the door he'd spotted when he'd been pulled down here and if it was locked he was pretty sure he remembered how Inugame's grenade launcher worked...
  6. A spoon slapping him in the face was an affront to Vesper's dignity and an affront to his dignity was an insult to the honour of his employer! This sort of thing couldn't be settled with mere magic, no the only recourse for this slight was the art of gentlemanly fisticuffs! Leaping from their makeshift boat Vesper landed atop the ramenooze and readujsted his cravat before facing Akimbold in a combat stance. "I assure you Sir, my employer is no dragon." He helpfully informed him "They rarely have the need for the service of my august profession." A metalurgist? Maybe. An accountant? Perhaps. Someone with a metric ton of metal polish? Almost certainly, but not a fully fledged butler. This was neither here nor there at the moment really though and Vesper unleashed a lightning fast flurry of jabs at the kobold. Vespawnch! 7. "Yeah?" It didn't matter how much speed Chro put in to his attack, Robin's Semblance was working at its ful potential, he had an inkling of what he was going to do before he had even retracted his blade and what was more he'd over extended himself. Dancing a hair's breadth away from Chro's attack, Robin's free hand shot out and grabbed his wrist, darting forward to bend his arm back and driving his knife back in to his chest! "You don't look so tough to me." Not having ever really talked about everything that had lead up to him being bundled off to Mistral, Robin still had more than a few unresolved issues that he had been studiously ignoring but getting to hit Chro upside the head with a bat was just about the best kind of therapy he could hope for (except for you know, actual therapy, but Auntie Wulf was never going to sign off on that) and he went at it with gusto, swinging over and over again. 10. Another cloud of questionable gases wafting in his direction and another save from Santokumaru, Vesper really hoped that this wasn't going to become a trend, but he did have to admit that it gave him the start of an idea... "Perhaps something a little more tasteful." He pondered for a moment before taking in a deep breath and exhaling a small cloud of white mist in to his cupped hands, closing them around the cloud he went to work with a lifetime of practice in setting artisanal napkins, when he opened his hands again the mist had become an dainty ethereal bird. "Much better." Surveying his work with just a hint of pride (any more would simply be vulgar) he gently threw his hands out and sent his creation flapping towards Cap'n Akimbold. Brume De Espelette
  11. "Like old times? You mean when I put you in hospital?" Just because Robin didn't use them didn't mean that he didn't know just as many dirty tricks as Chro and he was ready for him but what with not using them and all Chro was far far better at them, still managing to land a solid blow in his back. Luckily Robin still had his aura and, a nasty hole in his coat not withstanding, he was still standing and now it was the other boy who was over extended! "If you're so tough how come you needed me to do the fighting for you huh?" Robin wasn't going to let this opportunity go to waste, the mechanical sound of his weapon shift forms filling the air before he swung out again, this time trying to leave as few openings in his defence for Chro to exploit. 12. Knife clashed with spoon as Santokumaru engaged in his Destined Duel of Destinytm and Vesper turned his eye towards the web of ropes supporting the kobolds above them. The Elysium curiculum had been thorough but his expertise in knots leaned more towards ties and fancy little decorative ways to keep sets of cutlery together on the table but the broad principles were the same, assuming the whole thing wasn't just being held up by magic (which for all he knew it could be but he was being optimistic here) there would have to be some weak points in its construction that if disrupted could bring the whole mess down in to the scolding water below. Standing up to in their makeshift boat Vesper reached behind him and with a flourish produced a series of pristine silver forks held in the gaps between his fingers but first there was one nagging thought he had to attend to, turning his attention to the little magitech wonder in the middle of the boat, taking the offered liquid as he did so "You are too kind Sir Tourna, my apologies if this is not my place but are you waterproof?" After he got a responce, or after a polite amount of time if none was forthcoming, it was time for action! Tourna's brew had focuses his senses further beyond what even could normally be expected from a particularly detail orientated elf and he let the gleaming cutlery fly towards the knots above. Which didn't go as well as he had hoped, some graduates of the Elysium Academy could wait a table at a hundred paces but Vesper wasn't one of them, he had chosen to focus on slightly more esoteric endeavours, still he wasn't going to let that stop him. There was always a second course and another, almost identical yet slightly and crucially different, kind of fork. One gloved hand vanished inside his waistcoat and when it reemerged it was clutching another bevy of pristine silver cutlery. There was probably a dessert pun in her somewhere but Vesper was of course far too refined to make it. Vesper INS+DEX Vesper DEX reroll:1d6
